While the store itself has been kept in very good condition since they initially opened in the old walmart building, customer service continues to be problematic at times. Most employees deliver a decent or good shopping experience, however it has been my experience that 1-2 of their employees often delivers overwhelmingly negative experiences. My bare minimum expectation for customer service is that the cashier remains quiet and does not speak, due to the pay grade of their employees. Among the experiences I have had dealing with this cashier, two shockingly poor instances come to mind: once, this cashier had the audacity to raise their voice at an old Lady who wanted to pay with exact coins. The other occasion happened just yesterday when this same cashier was raising her voice at a Hispanic Lady who didn't understand what she said. She obviously was making out exact change, but gave the cashier a dollar more than expected, which the cashier rang up in spite of the lady's protest. After this, when I was checking out, among other comment, this same cashier felt it appropriate to remind me that they have to ring up each item. Apparently I had too many items? I do feel sorry for using the language that I did as this may have disturbed the other customer(s), but this is hardly an acceptable level of customer service, especially for those who have impairments or are not fluent speakers.

The worst customer service of any store around. I’ve been to this store a half dozen times and most every time has been a bad experience. If you like cashiers verbally harassing you for what they buy, getting yelled at about the cashier’s personal life, or workers looking through your stuff just to “see what you got,” then this is the place for you! I unfortunately did not enjoy these experiences and only go cause the price is cheap.

I visited the Dollar Tree in Decorah, and it was the best Dollar Tree location I've ever visited. Clean, easy-to-find products,, and fast moving lines. I wish all Dollar Trees provided this level of customer experience.

Last I was in dollar tree it was a good experience. Wasn't actually in there recently but I went right next door. Either way, you could probably survive off dollar tree last I checked.
