“I have to say this man that owns this shop, is very honest and understanding and knows exactly what he is doing. I was stranded in Des Moines today and called probably 15 people and places trying to get help because my car wouldn’t start. He said get it towed here. This man took time out of his hard, hot day and diagnosed the problem with my car and got it started to get me back home 3 hours away. I was hopeless and had no idea what I was going to do. “Listen. Car repairs are the worst. There's no way to sugar coat that. If you have to suffer through it though, you should go to Scott's. They're incredibly patient, reasonably priced, kind (because lets be honest, car repairs are stressful), they do a top notch job of getting you back on the road as quickly as possible, they're straightforward about what needs to be done...obviously I could go on and on but I think you get the idea and I hope you take your car to them next time something has to be done.”

They clearly do a helluva business, as evidenced by number of cars in parking lot…barely a place to park. The prices flying out the door were eye-catching. I overheard $6000 for an older minivan!The only problem I had, was not being told there would be a $77 diagnostic fee AFTER THE FACT. I understand time is money & would have had it done anyway, but would have been nice to know. The cost to repair was ridiculously high for an 18 year old car & decided to trade it in.”

“Tim is an honest guy doing good work for a fair price and that's all there is to it. I brought in my 2018 Ford Escape after the dealership quoted me an insanely high price for a transmission replacement. Chuck and Larry's was able to get me in within a couple of days. I ended up needing a rebuild, which really sucked for a 5 year old car i had only bought 6 months prior. Tim was super patient answering my questions and was up front about the cost (which was a little over half what the dealership quoted me). There were some complications with the rebuild and it took longer than expected, and i felt a lot of peace of mind knowing it was getting done right. Tim found some other problems aside from the transmission issues (ugh!) and gave me good advice on how to triage. The thing I think I appreciated the most was the compassion. Coming off a horrible experience trying to get Ford to help me out, it was nice to work with someone who actually seemed to care, took pride in his work, and had a little sympathy for how much the situation sucked. I hope i never have to go through transmission problems again, but if i do i already know exactly where i'm going.”

The car was towed here the day before Christmas Eve and they had us back on the road the day after Christmas. We really appreciate the team taking care of us quickly and Matthew did let us know of other issues we need to assess but also understood we needed to get home and sent us on our way without pressuring us for additional services.
