Customer service was good, hats off to an employee by the name of Trenton I think, but the inconsistencies, constant trips, and service overall was not pleasant. This is my story here -
Originally I took my Model 3 to get new tires. Ended up getting Crossclimates but didn't like them so I was able to take them back after ordering. When I originally went in, online said they were in stock, and after an hour of digging, they did find them.
Fast forward only a day or two, I wanted to swap them. They weren't a good fit for me, so they ordered me LS tires from continental and was told 3 to 5 days on their website. I found out later that day that it would take possibly longer. I also had to originally pay more for a cheaper tire when they did the swap out for me. *they did fix that mistake weeks later when I got my tires* A week went by, I stopped in and they said only 1 tire arrived. I later stopped in a second week later on 1/24, and they told me, "Yeah we got the rest in the next day." So no one called me to inform me. It was getting close to my trial period with Michelin but I got them changed over finally. However, on 1/24 I got there around 945am, was quoted a time of completion at 11am, so I left and came back around Noon and they haven't even started them yet. I eneded up waiting there until almost 3pm. Other cars were prioritized.
Couple weeks later, I noticed a leak and it turned out I needed new rims. I debated and debated until I found the ones I liked, it said "ships to store in 3 to 5 buisness days" on their website, so I ordered them.
I got a call later on that day stating that they were on back order until the end of May. I couldn't drive around on a slightly cracked rim as I travel for work, so I went to the store to discuss buying one rim. Unfortunately I couldn't, so I got stuck choosing Liquid Metal ones. I 100% don't like them really and really wanted the ST8's, but I needed my car so my hands were tied. I also had to pay even more for these as well as they were more expensive. They also did do a free tire rotation for me but I was really bummed out as I really wanted the others and was looking forward to it.
A day or two later I noticed they didn't air up my one tire all the way after the rim swap and rotation. They also didn't give me the cirrect tool to get the lug nuts off. They seem to be locking ones, but I could be wrong. (Maybe I have to pay for that?) Turns out they didn't reprogram the TMPS sensors either. I did give them a call and they stated they should re-learn on their own. They still aren't correct. The tire pressure in my front passenger side is displaying on the rear drivers side. They offered to take a look, but I decided to pay Tesla to fix the issues as I didn't want any more problems.
Overall, I spent so much extra money, took off work several times as I had a lot of wasted trips, their website displayed incorrect product stock many times, I spent so much time waiting for the swaps and service work, and I was told wrong information at one point and the money charged extra for cheaper tires didn't help either. I used Affirm as I could hardly afford this in the first place.
I am going through Tesla now to have the TMPS sensors worked on, and will most likely continue to use Discount for my rotations, but tires and wheels I will probably outsource from Tesla or another company. The rims I originally wanted I'm trying to find them elsewhere, but it sucks I have to pay another $1,000 for another set of rims.
But needless to say, I didn't have a great experience. I was on a budget and hoped discount would've been better than me going to the terrible service at Tesla and Tesla'd high prices, but it backfired. It's not their fault my rims cracked, and I needed new tires, but I wish their website was correct. I really got my hopes up with new rims and was let down. The miscommunication between crew, the website sto

Convenient online ordering and appointments. Just be careful with the upsell, your cars don't wear out nearly as fast as they recommend..do your own research

We have always received excellent service at Discount Tire (in Colorado) and the service we received at this Dubuque location was also excellent! We had a nail in our tire and the associate made it very easy to get our tire repaired. We were quoted an approximate time and were able to go leave our tire while completing other errands in town, while also being able to follow the progress of our tire repair at a link provided to us. We purchased our tires in CO and the type of repair that was done at this Dubuque location was included under the warranty and at no cost for us. I would go to this location again for repairs or for new tires!

They actually honored the warranty on their tires. Brought in my paperwork and was on my way in a short period of time!

They told me they couldn't let me leave without 4 new tires, and then it turned out they only had one tire. They said it would take two hours to get it done. So I ended up walking off and coming back. After two hours I asked if they did it yet and some guy said they did it in 10 minutes and another guy elbowed him.

We have like 16 cars and they do almost all of our tire work except for real expensive racing Porsche.
Super good prices. Good availability and really fast on service, especially if you have an appointment

These folks really took care of me from when I first arrived. Trent, the gentleman that helped me pick out tires for my truck, treated me fairly, with understanding, and patience. He was detailed, friendly, and definitely Managerial Material. I got great quality tires at a fair price. I would definitely recommend Discount Tire in Dubuque, Iowa.

We’ve been customers at the Dubuque Discount Tire location for a few years. We had an issue with them but Tyler who is the manager called me today and resolved the issue on the phone. I really appreciate that. As an older woman, you hate feeling like you are being taken for granted. Antoinette was the sales clerk and she was delightful. She was very knowledgeable and explained things clearly. I appreciate Tyler calling first thing and helping me out. We WILL use them in the future. Thank you Tyler.

We bought 4 new tires last February (2024). Excellent service and attention. Tires have been great - until hit a rock on 151. Tore gash in the sidewall of one tire. Unfortunately the tire is no longer manufactured. They were able to locate a replacement that was still available within 3 days, mount and balance it with excellent professionalism and no questions asked. They gave us a reasonable discount considering less than 5000 miles on the tire. They let us know when it was in and took care of everything very rapidly. Highly recommended both last Feb and NOW.

Great place to buy tires and have flats fixed. Best prices around. Cheaper than Tirerack.

Went in for a tire rotation and was told I needed new lug nuts. That's fine that i needed new ones, but the wanted $150!
O'Reilly has a new set for $80 and Amazon had better options for $50-$70. The upcharge is something else.

I took my car in for a nail in my tire and they told me that I would either need to replace all four tires, or would have to wait to order a special run-flat. Even the one girl who was helping me had to have someone else explain why I couldn’t get a regular tire, instead of buying the more expensive one. Come to find out they were lying, just to get more money out of me. Had multiple other tire/auto places tell me they were trying to scam me and got a new tire put on by Firestone hours later. The girl who helped me was nice, but I wouldn’t ever take my business here again because they’re SHADY.

Literally saved the day! Had a flat on a family trip, fit us in, kind, understanding and back on the road quickly. Thank you!
