They accidently filed my Illinois income as Iowa income. Even though I paid taxes for the year in Illinois. They tried to explain that I’m wrong. When I mentioned the Iowa and Illinois reciprocal agreement law they had never heard of it! (Tax people should know local tax laws ). This mistake made me go from getting a return to owing a good amount. They said to talk to their manager fadi. I called twice and they said he would call me back to no prevail. I called the dept of revenue board and the confirmed h &r block was wrong. Now I have to file an amendment with another company. Charged a lot for fees then almost had me owing taxes. They were so confident in being wrong. They have done this before with my coworkers that didn’t know any better and cost them money . They should’ve corrected the mistake. Once they got their fee they just explained I’m wrong and won’t have the manager call me back. Disappointed to say the least. They are costing a lot of people money and double taxes.

Pretty hefty price. I didn't even get a deduction for my car registration fees which I'm able to in Iowa. I wish I had known earlier how easy it is to file my own taxes online.
