I can’t say enough good things about Dr. McCartney and her entire staff. I’ve been going to this office for years, and from the moment you walk in, you can feel that everyone there genuinely cares — not just about the job they’re doing, but about the people they’re serving.
Dr. McCartney has been an incredible doctor — not only because of her clinical skill, but because of how thoroughly she explains everything. She doesn’t rush, answers all my questions, and makes sure I fully understand my vision needs before moving forward. With all the health complications I’ve been navigating, she’s shown patience, compassion, and a true willingness to work with me. It’s something I’ve deeply appreciated.
The entire staff are some of the kindest and most helpful people I’ve encountered in any healthcare setting. There’s a calm, welcoming energy in the office, and it’s clear that everyone there enjoys what they do. The space is also very clean, organized, and comfortable, which only adds to the sense of trust I feel each time I’m there.
I wholeheartedly recommend Shopko Optical in Dubuque!

I just purchased 2 pairs of glasses from Shopko Optical. This was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience. Makayla helped me select my frames. Once my glasses were ready to be picked up, other employees adjusted them for a great fit. Everyone there was very helpful. I highly recommend Shopko Optical in Dubuque.

Shopko optical is by far the best optical care I’ve ever received. The doctor is amazing and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Makayla is very patient and did a great job helping me pick out prescription sunglasses! I would definitely recommend Shopko optical!

We’ve always received great service from the staff there. All are attentive and knowledgeable.
Always an excellent selection of designer frames available.
This optical shop also accepts many insurance plans and works well them.
