If I could leave negative stars I would. This bank has the worst customer service and they are rarely open. Also, they have something fishy going on in their banking ways.

TAKE YOUR BANKING ELSEWHERE!!!! Worst banking experience I've EVER had! Paid off my vehicle but NEVER received my title. 4 weeks... 6 weeks... Multiple phone calls... 8 weeks and more phone calls and having to explain the situation all over each time... 10 weeks and more phone calls... It's as if the second they hung up the phone they had complete amnesia of what was discussed. I had moved to a new state and was unable to register my vehicle with the title and was forced to drive around on expired plates. Even when I explained this all there was ZERO sense of urgency and I was even promised an overnight delivery, took off work and stayed at home all afternoon to sign for it but guess what.... NEVER SHOWED! They did NOT overnight it or email me the tracking number as promised. Finally received the title after a complaint to the BBB and having to threaten them with theft of property as they were illegally in possession of my property after they failed to deliver it in the Iowa DOT regulated 30 days following completion of my financial agreement.

I've had nothing but problems with them! I kept getting hacked and they would do nothing about it! Never keep your money here if you care about it

Has been with Collins Community Credit Union for about 1.5 years. I went to the Ingersoll Avenue in Des Moines, IA location inside Pricechopper grocery store. I stopped by to inquire about car loan and I have had the best experience with this credit union. Taylor Clausen, the assistant branch manager at this location, went above and beyond to help me in the following: 1) Low interest car loan: I have stellar credit score, have been independent since I was 18, and was in grad school full-time. Even though I have great credit scores, I could not obtain a car loan since I do not have income. Taylor helped me secure a car loan with very low interest rate. Unfortunately, I had to get a co-signer to secure a car loan. But Taylor made the process so much easier. 2) Insider look at purchasing vehicles: Initially I was looking at this 2009 car. As someone who knows very little about cars, he gave me tips on how to properly look at my actual vehicle value and informed me I was over-paying for this 2009 car. He even called the car dealership. Eventually, I settled on this 2015 vehicle. Taylor walked me through step-by-steps to walk out of that car dealership without being duped into buying the dealership's services (i.e. their own car loan with "low" rates, insurance, etc). I walked into that car dealership prepared. Even the car salesman said, "wow, you are very well-prepared". They ran my credit and gave me the sales pitch that they can match Collin's low car loan rates. And nope. They cannot match it. They also low-balled me into just giving me $500 for my current vehicle at the time. And I showed them that my car was worth at least $1500. And yes, they are surprised that I knew how much my car should be worth (and no, I did not use Kelly Blue Book). The dealership gave me $1500 cash value for the vehicle I was selling. I would highly recommend Collins Community Credit Union. Taylor and his team helped me so much in securing my vehicle. I would recommend to just stop by and look at the rates they offer. Even their checking/savings account APY were amazing. A+

Very slow. Seems like very few of the tellers know how to process a mortgage payment correctly.

They will not update my car loan and its been paid off for months. I have tried to call and email and no one is doing anything. The car was totaled due to a flood and now my credit score is being ruined because of this awful credit union.

I have been trying to make my car payment for over an hour! I spoke to Dominique, and Liz who put me back into their automated system saying the couldn't take my payment. The I got Melinda she was the worst just rude and mean. Finally I asked if we could go into a branch to make the payment she snapped at me saying that she can't give me that information! Then hung up on me!! All I want is to make a payment and they refuse to take my money!

I hate this bank so much. I was approved for a car loan through this bank. I thought I was getting approved by another bank (one I wanted), but SURPRISE, I got this one. It's been a nightmare from day one. They don't have automatic transfer payments from outside banks and since I don't bank with them that means I have to write a check and remember to mail it each month. I do all my other bills online or have them on auto-pay, so literally just this one bill and there is no option. The online banking is a nightmare and their site doesn't work. I have tried every possible username I would ever pick and nothing works. The link to click on when you forget your username doesn't work. Nothing. I'm locked out and of course when I call they want info that I can't give them because I can't get into the account! I need to get this loan to another bank before I lose my damn mind.
