Pet Care
Estherville Veterinary Clinic
121 W Central Ave, EsthervilleThe people were so kind and accommodating. I was really worried about my pet and they allowed me to come in without an appointment (I would definitely recommend calling ahead for an appointment as they were busy, but there was an issue with my pet that seemed urgent) and I felt they truly cared and didn't make me feel bad for being worried. The Doctor was very informative, friendly and calming. And the visit was reasonably priced as it also included medication.

Emmet County Animal Shelter
1703 7th Ave S, EsthervilleMy first fur baby I adopted from Emmet County Animal Shelter was Mia, a 3 year old , 8lbs, female Chihuahua back in 2015. Their description of Mia was spot on, in temperament, demeanor, and attitude, housebroken, leash manners, health, so on and so forth. Mia has been my constant companion ever since. She goes with me almost everywhere I go. Depending mostly on weather, the temperature to be specific and how long she would have to stay in my vehicle if she couldn't go inside with me. My rule of thumb is no more than 10 minutes in the car and again I'm very mindful of the temperature. She has traveled back and forth to Michigan to see my folks for a week or two, twice a year. Our last stretch ended up being 6 months. And those trips never phased her. She is good wherever I am. I also take her for rides on my bike. I got her a front handlebar backpack that detaches to use as an actual backpack if we park the bike. She loves it. But her favorite is to go for a walk and at 11 years old now, she still has a giddyap and go in her step and we walk for a mile or two. I let her determine how long our walks are. I would definitely get another fur baby from Emmet County Animal Shelter if and when the time came. You should too.
