Visited our local Walgreens, Ft. Madison IA location today, not a very pleasant shopping experience, to say the least. My plan was to purchase a box of hair color, some dog treats and two sodas. I noticed the hair color had a coupon associated with it, when I went to check out, I inquired about coupon, I was told, rudely, we don't have coupon books anymore, it's all on line. OK, was not aware of that, looked it up on my phone, with no one else waiting in line, as I would not hold anyone up if that were the case. Saw it included a download, told her I would do that later and purchase product later. She, literally, threw the box on the floor behind her. I then inquired about my rewards balance, as I knew I had one, I was then told, again rudely, you already have your card in, can't do it. Nope, yes, you can, I've had it done before. I said never mind, left my items and walked out. I called one of the managers and complained, but feel a visit or call to the actual store manager will be in my near future. If she is so miserable at this particular job, perhaps she should find a new one. Sad, I have shopped there regularly and have never been treated that way before by any of their other employees. Will I go back? Yes, probably, but if I walk in and she's checking I will request a different cashier, and if that isn't possible, I'll walk out again. They must not have needed my money today...
