Have you stopped and tried this place yet? Why not? I'm telling ya you can't go wrong. Every single time I travel through Shelby, we plan to stop hungry and leave full! Not a bad thing on the menu found yet! Had the coleslaw today. Not manufacturered, made fresh. So nice to see the owners out working with the workers, talking to the customers and calling the regulars by name! Real Americana!!!

Best decision to stop by for a comforting treat after a 8-hr road trip, and immediately the food takes you home. The mashed potato melts completely like cream cheese, the beef sandwich has the perfect combination of tenderness and juice which I have not had for a million of years. The breaded tenderloin is crispy, flavorful, lightly breaded and cooked in perfection. And the service is just impeccable. What can I say? Go there and experience yourself!

Currently on a road trip and stopped in here for some breakfast. Greeted by the staff in a friendly manner and had some really good food. I don't know what they put in the breakfast sandwiches, but it was one of the best ones i've ever had. and coming from a little place in shelby, iowa, i feel like it deserves a nice shoutout. shout out to you corn crib!!! i'll be back on my way home!

This restaurant is filled to The brim with authentic antiques that represents the spirit of Iowa. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and waffles with eggs. The food is so delicious!

What an awesome find. Traveling from Nebraska to Mn, and stopped for lunch on a Sunday. We both ordered the Grandmas Fried Chicken it was superb. Enjoyed visiting with the 2 brothers that owned the Kormcrib. We will definitely stop again when traveling thru. Have a gas and mini Marty with local wines for sale!!!

What a great find. Real home cooking. Best French Dip I've ever had. Couldn't decide on which pie so we ordered all four. The service was outstanding and fast. The restaurant is decorated like you would expect to see in a farmhouse.

Stopped for a bite to eat while traveling to Colorado. Food was good, small place tucked in a convince store, wife and I had a burger and the kids had the tenders. Burgers were greasy but tasted good and filled us up. Only complaint is not much potato wedges with the order and tea was out of a fountain

Ate here on our way east on I-80. We both got the beef sandwich, and we're glad we did. Real picked roast beef-- not slices of heated lunch meat. Very good! Ny the way, they are not where shown on the map. They are just 1/2 mile off the interstate.

We stopped here on our road trip based on all the positive Yelp reviews- and we were NOT disappointed- My chicken salad sandwich that only cost $3.99 was not only overflowing but was delicious. Hubby had the Monday special of sausage marinara spaghetti with two large pieces of garlic bread for $7.99!!! All delicious! Then we topped off our meal with homemade fresh apple and strawberry-rhubarb pie!! So yummy! If you're looking for a delicious meal at a reasonable price & great friendly service- this is the place!!!

Yore in hog heaven at the Corn Crib! Iowa is renown for breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches, and the Corn Crib has a good'n. (But they are uppity and call it a 'pork cutlet'.) The Corn Crib also has burgers, pizza, and a variety of other lunch and dinner foods. Plus, they have lots of breakfast fare (Flapjack Platter, Bushwacker Sandwich, Rib Tickler Skillet, and Grandma's French Toast). As for being elegant dining, a coat & tie are optional. (Bib overalls are preferred.) The mustard and ketchup come in 'classy' rubber squirt bottles, but their 'napkins' say it all - a roll of paper towels on a dispenser at each table. But the Corn Crib is a 'full service' stop with gas pumps, snacks, souvenirs, soda pop, candy, and fruit wine made in Iowa. (We tried the plum wine.) Speaking of junk, the decor is hilarious - including the 'dummy'. Y'all come back, ya hear?!

I also had the hot beef sandwich and the strawberry rhubarb pie. There was not one imperfect bite of beef on that sandwich! They know what they're doing!

We decided to stop here to gas up, stretch our legs, and grab some grub. Love the farmhouse look of this place. Courteous staff that didn't display any annoyance even as I was snapping away with my camera and my squealing with vocal exclamations of awe/amusement at candy/snacks you don't normally find at gas stations anymore. The have breakfast, lunch, and dinner fare for the whole family. Decent food. Wouldn't mind stopping here again
