There customer service and technical support is the worst ever. If you have problem dont count on getting aby help for days to weeks 7 days after my internet went out before new modem arrived . Than kept still losing connection two days it took I got message in morning saying it was resolved but guess what I had no internet called and they than told me to disreguard that message they were still working on it again. I think they are trying to get everyone switched to the more expensive package. But before I do thst I will switch carriers all together. If you need internet fir your job I recommend you don't go with these guys cause they don't give a hoot.

Was offered the slowest possible connection as they didn't have anything better for our location. We survived that for 10 months. Our modem then crashed and was without service for 9 days. Their solution was 3-5 business days to send a new one, which was after several attempts via the app and phone calls to remedy this. At that point I was done dealing with incompetence and horrible customer service.

Internet went out. Called. Scheduled the appointment for it to get fixed. Received multiple text messages to confirm the appointment or it would be canceled. Confirmed EVERY time. Received text to confirm the morning of or it would be canceled. When communicating with the text service I asked if they had a time frame for the appointment and they said a technician had not been assigned yet. Called a little later and they still hadn't assigned one. But when they do I will receive a text message and if I don't confirm it they will cancel then change me $50. Had to reschedule the appointment for a day off from work so I can better accommodate them, I hope I can catch all the messages so they don't cancel between now and then.

Joke of a business. Signed up for internet and got order confirmation 30 minutes. The price went up 40% in the 30 minutes between my call with salesman and when I got the order confirmation.Called back and was told that the price the salesman gave me was not possible and that he was wrong.Signed up and canceled with this company within 2 hours.Don’t waste your time.

UPDATE: 9-3-2023, 4:00 PM CDT: NO SERVICE NO DIAL TONE NO INTERNET. Windstream has rendered our business. We are done. We were unable to survive the loss of income. We will be disconecting our Phone and Internet service, forwarding our website, and shutting down. Thanks to Windstream we are finished. No service for 3 days. It was supposed to be the best weekend of the year. Windstream killed us. Now I do not have the money to pay the bills. This is a terrible company, with terrible service. DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY ARE CRIMINALS!UPDATE: 9-2-2023, 1:00 PM CDT: STILL NO DIAL TONE AND NO INTERNET.The loss of our Windstream service has been catastrophic. I doubt we will be able to recover from this. Windstream personel have lied to me, to my wife, and to you. Govenor Kim Reynolds sends Iowa State Police to Texas, yet here in Iowa we are unable to use critical infrastructure. Telephones and Internet do not work, roads go unpaved, bridges continue to fail, the water is bad, there are too few State Troopers, County Sheriffs and Police, and we pay for it with our property taxes and fees.THIS IS UNFAIR- I REFUSE TO PAY MY BILL UNTIL I GET ANSWERS.UPDATE: 9-2-2023, 3 AM CDT: Still NO SERVICE! I, we are paying for a phone and internet company that simply is unable or worse, refuses to provide service durinng our busiest weekend of the year. They are condescending and their support is NOT honest. The lack of dial tone and internet has put the final nail in the coffin of our business. Tuesday we are contacting our Attorneys!9-1-2023 9 AM CDTThe absolute worst company on planet earth. I own a business and again no dial tone and no internet. $250.00 a month for nothing. While the CEO goes hiking, vacationing, and blogging we, who pay for this non-service, suffer! The Iowa Public Service Commision is useless. The state of Iowa is paid off by Windstream so that the Public Service Commision looks the other way. This is all part of a corporate criminal cash grab sponsored by Windstream and sanctioned by the lowlife politicians who supposedly represent us. I am an Iowa business person, where is my representation? Why are companies such and Windstream allowed to charge for NO SERVICE? Why does the State of Iowa refuse to allow other phone companies to compete with Windstream? Because State of Iowa politicians are just a crooked as Windstream! Remember your lack of service when you vote, I WILL!

The Prom Night Dumpster Baby of Internet Providers. The internet never works, the fiber speed is a lie, and the "business" phone service never works. When you contact support they blame it on you. Windstream sucks!

I’m forced to leave a 1 star but it’s definitely a 0 star company. A simple cable to be buried takes several months. They had a work order in March and another one in April. Here we are into May with a promised bury today. Just as I figured a no show. I bet if I missed a payment my internet would be cut off. A friend was promised the same service in the same area. That of course was a lie! Why do we allow dumpster fire companies to get away with garbage services? With other options and places to shop for internet I refuse to stay a loyal customer.

Been waiting for over 4months now for a phone hook up on new home. Today was scheduled appointment for finishing service work. Message day before stating I'd receive 2hr notice upon arrival. Today I get message service won't be finished die to unable enter home. Thanks for the heads up, next appointment I'm a month. Embarrassing to call yourselves a service.

i had an overdue balance and my service was disconnected, so i called to make a payment. i paid about half of it, and they said they would turn it back on. it took them two days to get it back on, when i called they said they simply hadn’t connected it, and got it back on within the hour i called. 5 days later it was turned off again without a warning. i called, and they said it was because i had another payment that was due they didn’t tell my about the first time. they said they could reconnect it today and waved the balance. i was redirected to get it connected, and then told they can’t do it today until i pay the balance, even though i was already just told they would connect it. i gave up, and about 5 minutes after the call ended, my wifi turned back on anyway. they were trying to get us to pay when we didn’t need to at this time.

I have been working as a Managed Service Provider for 20+ years. All that means is I help home users and business clients with all things technology. One common task I help people with is acquiring, installing and maintaining internet service. Over the years I have had many occasions to work with Windstream. Nearly every one of those instances ends in extreme frustration. There are too many negative occurrences to mention here but if I had to sum it up I would say: terrible customer service; inept technical abilities; late appointments; over charging on invoices; over promising speeds; long hold times when calling in for support. Basically, they should be your absolute last resort for internet. If you have a choice in internet providers, make Windstream your last, you will thank me for it. Okay, one story. I helped a school get a T1 line - a really expensive internet connection. They took 6 months longer to than they promised to deliver, overcharged them for a year, then it took 22 months of badgering their customer service (by calling once a week) before they finally gave the school a refund for they inaccurate billing. They are the worst.
