Tiefenthaler Quality Meats is a top-notch butcher with an endless selection of cuts, products, and flavors. The meat is out of this world, always fresh, and excellent. Their brats are the best, with a perfect ratio of high quality meat to fat, fantastic for grilling, and are skinless. They are considered the new gold standard. The beef jerky, smoked meat sticks, snack sticks, ham, smoked hocks, prime rib, steaks, and marinated pork chops are all phenomenal and highly recommended. The customer service is top notch. It is a highlight and well worth a stop, with many customers wishing they could buy everything. The business clearly takes pride in its craft.
Simply the best brats. If they are unavailable locally it is worth the effort to go to Holstein and stock up.

We made the drive from West Des Moines to pick up a 1/4 beef and 1/2 hog. What a cool place. Quite the selection of meats-brats to jerky to steaks to ground meat to seasonings (for a few examples). Staff was good-old-small-town Iowa friendly and helpful. I wish they were closer to WDM.
