Friendly people at the Independence IA Walmart. I do wish they had a larger selection of items. A lot of things carried by most Walmarts can not be found at this location.

Went to use the coinstar machine and it's been broken for a while now. Not Walmarts fault but I still dislike the changes they've made. Like having self checkout and workers just standing there watching you. If they have to babysit the checkout, they might as well just do some work and check us out anyway

Very nice store, well kept and stocked. People were friendly too. If you park your truck across the street at Casey's you can walk over.

Incompetent employee almost knocked my 88-year old grandmother onto the ground. We had just gotten a cart from the (very full) cart corral inside the store when this stupid employee slammed a bunch of new carts into the back of a row of carts already in the corral. This caused all the carts in that row to be pushed forward, with the ones in front edging out of the cart corral and into the aisle where we were standing.
Thankfully the 75+ carts already in that row absorbed most of the force, but they still pushed into us by several inches, causing my elderly grandmother to stumble and almost fall. I yelled at him to stop pushing the carts forward and he just gave me a blank stare. Everyone stopped to see why I was hollering, but not a single employee came to check on us or apologize.
My husband had been parking the car and walked in just after it happened. He came over to us and right as he walked in front of the carts, the exact same employee did it AGAIN, causing the carts to hit my husband this time! Both times we were in an aisle where customers are supposed to be, not in the cart corral space. And the cart corral was already very full and the carts at the front were pushed all the way forward, so there was no need for this employee to slam more carts in as hard as he did, especially with customers standing at the front end.
This is a terrible way to load carts and someone is going to get seriously injured with such careless employees.

I always get treated with dignity and respect. I am disabled and everyone is so helpful. The prices are low, and the variety is exceptional. I have noticed that there aren't enough handicapped carts for the customers. Often, I have had to have someone push me in the wheelchair cart, and it doesn't hold much, and the basket keeps coming loose.

Half the employee's do not provide simple helpful service. Store needs a good cleaning. Watch your meat & produce weight & prices & extra charges on your receipt.
