βWe in general are compared to what is our competition. I had an IID device that needed serviced/removed/transferred. In complete opposite of the shop that installed the item, this shop displayed true professionalism. The competition a stones throw away, berated me on where I parked my vehicle to the point of throwing insults my way. The hostile environment was created by them and was not something I wanted. I tried to atone for and deescalate. It didn't undue their disdain for a paying customer who made a mistake.Hawkeye on the other hand, had clear painted parking spaces and the staff never wandered from being respectful professionals. They will get my repeatable business that is for sure.β
βMy husband and myself came from Canton, Illinois. He had to have a difficult procedure performed at the University Iowa Health Care Hospital. We came to Iowa the night before his surgery. When we got to the hospital the next morning, our car died pulling into the parking lot! Here we were 150 miles from home and our car wouldn't start! My husband's surgery started at 7am. It was left up to me to find out about our car. I came across Hanson Automotive. They had good reviews and was fairly close to the hospital. I took a chance and called the business.
The man that answered the phone was so understanding! He told me that he would contact a towing company for me to get our car towed to him. It wasn't 10 minutes later, the towing company called me and said that they would be there asap! Mr Hanson called me back to make sure that i was contacted by the towing company. The towing company came and got our car, they took it to HANSON AUTOMOTIVE INC. He called me 3 hours later, first he asked about my husband, then our car. He told us that it was the serpentine belt and the battery. He wanted to make sure that it wasn't something else that caused the serpentine belt to malfunction, before he gave the car back to us.
He called later that day and said that he was confident that it was fixed and ready to make the 150 mile trip back home. I told him that we weren't going to be discharged until 2 days later. He said not to worry. The next day I began trying to figure out a way to get our car. He said not to worry, he then told me that he would pick me up asap and bring me to our car. He did just that!
We arrived at his place of business, once again he explained what had happened with the car and how the billing system was set up. I paid the bill, which by the way was extremely reasonable! Being a woman who knows nothing about cars, he could of taken total advantage of me when it came time to pay the bill. He didn't! I would highly recommend this business to anyone! Mr Hanson, you are the best! Thank you for being so thoughtful, nice, sincere and honest!

βFirst of all Iβm an actual customer. JP has worked on 2 of our cars. The work on both was excellent. Perfect color matching and metal work. The second job was a tricky rust repair. A lot of big shops dont want this sort of noninsurance work and maybe for other reasons. JP is just starting out and willing to take this on at very fair prices. Definitely would recommend JP.β

βVery helpful and professional staff. No pressure environment. I was having difficulty purchasing a particular vehicle i had found online through Carmax. My order was lost, and had to be restarted on 3 separate occasions.
When I found the same make and model I was after at Carousel Nissan, I decided to try them out.
I am extremely glad I did. I was able to schedule a test drive and they kept in contact with me.
Staff was very accommodating. I was able to get the vehicle I was after, at a better price as well.

βI stopped in to grab the passenger side and rear wipers for my Subaru Forester, the driver side wiper was replaced this week at another shop that didn't carry the other two parts. I should have just stopped at NAPA becuase they have them. They also have great, and friendly staff like Ronnie and Roy, who are both fantastic. Roy found the parts and I purchased them. When I went to install the passenger side, the size that Subaru lists as my blade is too long and does not match what the dealership installed at my previous scheduled maintenance. I went back in to get the part and Ronnie was able to find a size and we got it installed. She was also able to guide me to install the rear wiper myself, great teacher.
The next time I need a part or tip I will return for the helpful service and guidance like Ronnie and Roy offered me.
On an seemingly unrelated note, good gift idea for kids, or kids at heart, please think about a Glow-in-the-dark Marble Run set from National Geographic. (It was in the store an employee had and it looked super fun and brought back hours of childhood memories.)
