“We in general are compared to what is our competition. I had an IID device that needed serviced/removed/transferred. In complete opposite of the shop that installed the item, this shop displayed true professionalism. The competition a stones throw away, berated me on where I parked my vehicle to the point of throwing insults my way. The hostile environment was created by them and was not something I wanted. I tried to atone for and deescalate. It didn't undue their disdain for a paying customer who made a mistake.Hawkeye on the other hand, had clear painted parking spaces and the staff never wandered from being respectful professionals. They will get my repeatable business that is for sure.”
“Kevin was really helpful in answering all my questions and getting me a thorough but quick estimate. The final product looked like high quality work. The only negative thing about the process was that they tried contacting me with a phone number attached to my insurance instead of the one I provided them so I had to call them to find out the car was ready for pickup. Not enough of an inconvenience though to overshadow the amazing work they did.”
“My husband and myself came from Canton, Illinois. He had to have a difficult procedure performed at the University Iowa Health Care Hospital. We came to Iowa the night before his surgery. When we got to the hospital the next morning, our car died pulling into the parking lot! Here we were 150 miles from home and our car wouldn't start! My husband's surgery started at 7am. It was left up to me to find out about our car. I came across Hanson Automotive. They had good reviews and was fairly close to the hospital. I took a chance and called the business.
The man that answered the phone was so understanding! He told me that he would contact a towing company for me to get our car towed to him. It wasn't 10 minutes later, the towing company called me and said that they would be there asap! Mr Hanson called me back to make sure that i was contacted by the towing company. The towing company came and got our car, they took it to HANSON AUTOMOTIVE INC. He called me 3 hours later, first he asked about my husband, then our car. He told us that it was the serpentine belt and the battery. He wanted to make sure that it wasn't something else that caused the serpentine belt to malfunction, before he gave the car back to us.
He called later that day and said that he was confident that it was fixed and ready to make the 150 mile trip back home. I told him that we weren't going to be discharged until 2 days later. He said not to worry. The next day I began trying to figure out a way to get our car. He said not to worry, he then told me that he would pick me up asap and bring me to our car. He did just that!
We arrived at his place of business, once again he explained what had happened with the car and how the billing system was set up. I paid the bill, which by the way was extremely reasonable! Being a woman who knows nothing about cars, he could of taken total advantage of me when it came time to pay the bill. He didn't! I would highly recommend this business to anyone! Mr Hanson, you are the best! Thank you for being so thoughtful, nice, sincere and honest!

“Was at a baseball game and had a foul ball hit my rear passenger side quarter panel...it was a good size dent. I sent Jesse some pictures and he said he would do his best and it came out amazing! I also had them do some small driver door dents. Price was very reasonable, got a loaner car and am more than satisfied with their work! Would HIGHLY recommend.”

“After getting an estimate for close to the value of the car from a shop that wanted to use a new door and body panels, I went to Outlaw Auto. Madrice quoted an estimate based on a salvaged door and refinishing the sheet metal for 1/3 the first estimate. When we found the replacement door had a defective impact sensor buried inside, Madrice offered to pull the sensor from the old door at no cost. Then he found that Chevy had changed sensor and the wiring harness connectors didn't match. He offered to swap the wiring too, which was more involved and needed extra labor - he contacted me and got my approval first - no surprises, and he had it ready the next day. The car looks great - thank you!”

“I stopped in to grab the passenger side and rear wipers for my Subaru Forester, the driver side wiper was replaced this week at another shop that didn't carry the other two parts. I should have just stopped at NAPA becuase they have them. They also have great, and friendly staff like Ronnie and Roy, who are both fantastic. Roy found the parts and I purchased them. When I went to install the passenger side, the size that Subaru lists as my blade is too long and does not match what the dealership installed at my previous scheduled maintenance. I went back in to get the part and Ronnie was able to find a size and we got it installed. She was also able to guide me to install the rear wiper myself, great teacher.
The next time I need a part or tip I will return for the helpful service and guidance like Ronnie and Roy offered me.
On an seemingly unrelated note, good gift idea for kids, or kids at heart, please think about a Glow-in-the-dark Marble Run set from National Geographic. (It was in the store an employee had and it looked super fun and brought back hours of childhood memories.)

“Shane was great! He helped me on the phone and in the store to find the right battery for my car. I'm not a car guy, so I appreciated how he made the process very simple by being honest about my car's needs and answering my questions in a way that made everything easy to understand. The old battery was really jammed in there, but he got it out and replaced it with the new one for me, despite having to do it in the dark of night while it was raining. I will definitely be coming back here for any future needs!”
