When picking up orders from this location in Iowa City it seems as if no one knows what's going on.
I picked up an item yesterday for a customer that when the employee Tim got the item it was in disarray and in several pieces even though the package clearly should have been all wrapped up he handed me the item and then assorted pieces that went along with the item that should have been in the package already.
I arrived at my customers location and there was an error in the app so I was forced to call back to the Iowa City location for assistance.
And when calling back to this location for manager assistance they tell you they don't have time for you.
I waited at the customer's house for over 20 minutes while trying to resolve the issue that was happening and it was necessary to speak to a manager at the store to resolve the issue.
I then was forced to create a return ticket for the item and when I returned it to the store in the same condition it was given to me by the store, in disarray and many pieces. Tim, the manager who gave me the item at the store had the audacity to call me rude after playing the rigmarole game in trying to get a resolution for not only the customer but for myself as well.
People like Tim should not be allowed to be managers or interact with customers.

Called ahead to make sure their dog wash was working and they said it was, so Im like great! I come in, and its this ugly hagger’d one that doesnt resemble any of the other Tractor Supply dog washes. So annoying.

Best experience ever!! Manager helped me fix my loose pedal arm on my Ebike!! Then I found a sweet Allen key tool to use on my bike and carry with me. Better than Bike Tech. Highly recommend

Went in the other day to get wood pellet kitty litter. I first checked the cat section, but I only found the clay kind. I felt defeated since this was the 3rd store I have been and only found clay litter. I was about to buy the clay litter (eventhough my cat hates it) because some litter is better than no litter. Then the guy at the register, I believe his name was Travis, asked me if I found everything alright. I informed him about the cat litter and he informed me that it is in the horse aisle since it is also used for horse bedding. I then signed up for membership and he let me know they send promotions for not only my birthday but my pets birthday too.

Yes, purchasing good through Amazon has its advantages, but Amazon can't touch the personal care and service of the Tractor Supply Co. at 655 Hollywood Blvd, Iowa City, IA 52240.
This fall as a regular RV tailgater Hawkeye games I was in need of a potable generator. I purchased a unit at this location only to realize it didn't provide enough output to take care of my needs. With one call to the store I spoke to a very helpful and caring employee who called the company's customer service to ensure that returning the item I bought could be returned. I was skeptical but hoped for the best. On a Sunday morning after a Saturday game in October I met this employee at the store who proved that small businesses in our towns and country are alive and well and are desperately needed. I've NEVER been taken care of like I was at Tractor Supply that day and I have the entire workforce there to give all of the credit to. They understood my need (which rarely happens with large item returns) and were committed to resolving this to my favor.
It was important for me to write this stellar review so that others in the Iowa City area will read about it an trust in this business the way I do. It was an outstanding experience from top to bottom and I will frequent that store in lieu of Amazon-like alternatives from now on.
Congratulations to the owner of this Tractor Supply Co and their employees for doing business with the customer in mind, the way it should be. Much, much appreciated!

Notes for others:* Dogs are allowed and there's even a grooming station inside.* The employees are very veteran-friendly.* Lastly, I'm a woman who was shopping alone and I want to compliment the workers for treating me like the workshop-goblin/maker I am and not speaking down to me or assuming I'm buying things for my husband.-------Wonderful location and bigger than it looks on the outside. Tim and Mark delivered excellent customer service. The store was clean and well-stocked. The music was not too loud and the lighting was good but not so bright it gave me a headache. The employees were available but not annoyingly bothering me every five minutes. Highly recommend stopping by this Tractor Supply.
