We have had a couple of occasions to use Central States and they have been fabulous to work with. We found them to be knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and let us know the most economical ways to get the things that we needed. Nigel (the owner) also tuned up a used scooter that we bought from a private party for free. They are wonderful people and we highly recommend them!

The management is very helpful and accommodating going above and beyond. I've bought a couple walkers from Nigel. I did not buy my battery powered chair from him, but he still offered to repair it for me. I'd say that anyone looking for an assistive device should try Central States Mobility, for sure!

We had a great experience here! It wasn’t the first place we shopped for a scooter but they impressed us a lot and we were glad to get the scooter here. Nigel was very knowledgeable about his scooters and was happy to answer any questions. Kevin also helped us and was great to work with. After we bought the scooter I emailed Nigel with a question and he answered my email the same day.
I’m happy with my scooter and very happy with the customer service!

Nice at first then ya mention you can get discount online then not so nice funny sell the same scooter but can't match prices I was gonna buy n finance a $5000 scooter until Nigel said I didn't make him all warm n fuzzy inside all because I asked if he gave discount online n pretty sad when ya know more about scooter warranty then they do when all ya gotta do is call the manufacturer n find out that was my experience

Open on Saturdays! Thank you, Nigel!
While traveling far away from home, we woke up in our hotel to the smell of a very hot wheelchair battery that instead of charging overnight, went rogue and blew up. Saturday morning in Des Moines and a flight out on Sunday. I was majorly stressed. HAPPILY, Central States Mobility is OPEN on Saturdays from 10-2. I was there at 10 with my still-toasty lumpy battery, and Nigel had me back up and running in under an hour with new batteries & charging cable. Price was absolutely fair, despite it being a true emergency and him knowing that - and my chair is once again carrying me instead of me pushing it (which was *much* slower!)
I 100% recommend Nigel!

Highly recommend Central States Mobility after I brought my parents in to shop for a scooter and a walker. We were well taken care of by Nigel, the owner. We shopped around at other vendors in the area and were surprised at how little the other shops knew their products compared to Nigel. He even delivered the scooter to their new retirement home. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and invested in taking care of their customers.

Central States Mobility was carrying and spot on with the quality work. They me posted on what was needed. They offered me a new scooter when it was going to cost as much to repair my old scooter. I would refer them to anyone who is need of a new scooter. They aren't the high priced boxed store that will sale you something you can't afford. The repair technician was kind, courteous and a pleasure to be around. Thanks to Nigel, Mike, and Justin for the new ride.

They were the only place we could get what we needed today. We needed a steerabe knee walker and the person who was there today helped adjust the walker and explained everything about it. I was very happy with the service and the price.
