Lovely Goodwill! Definitely has a ton of items! Some aren’t in the best shape but largely things were wearable.

This is hands down the BEST Goodwill I’ve ever visited. It is very well kept, and I’ve found soooo many hidden gems. Most of the clothes here are also name brands and in excellent condition. Sis, it’s better than Plato’s here. I found brands like Nike, Under Armour, Urban Outfitters, American Eagle, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Altar’d State just to name a few! I was very surprised. I stopped by just to take a quick peak and was there for an hour and a half… oops HAHA. Their fitting rooms are also open. :)

Annoyed that they would not take my return for top undergarments that I bought from their "NEW" section. I understand if they were used donated undergarments, but these were in your new from store section. Also, nowhere on the receipt or in store did I read that you didn't accept them.

I left a review a few years ago and can’t find it update. This is the one store in the DSM metro I will absolutely avoid as the Maude employee alters prices each and every single time at her discretion, ie childrens coloring books turn into soft cover books .. utensils turn into kitchen appliances. She even individually counted out a measuring spoons that are a set on a ring and rudely told me Id be paying 1.49 each. I said to keep them. It’s a shame I was unable to buy them. She counted a pair of childrens Pjs as a 2 piece set in addition to to that, she rings items up wrongly and I asked if she could not do that, and ring them up correctly ie; women’s LS are now a kids dress or Men’s jean are now rung up as Women’s jeans and she told me they are all the same price in the end anyway. I was really upset because now if they don’t fit I can not return them and since Jeans are 10$ I told her I don’t want to take the chance that they dont fit so keep them also and of corse she laughed at me. she has done it enough now I am not returning. No other store has ever treated customers like this Waukee has a wonderful employee has been there for 10 plus us years .. (I shop Des Moines metro,Goodwills 2 times a week for 15 years.

Will not take a number of things like antiques! After you’ve gone through your things, it seems crazy that they go through it right there at the car again and decide what they will. I will not take.

Left in complete devistation with how I was treated upon entering. I was trying to find a safe cart for my one year old to sit in. The first four I pulled out did not have a functioning safety belt. In the process of finding one a worker approached me asking what I was doing. I explained it to her. And she said you can't do them put them all back in. I said I will once I get my child in a secure position. She continued to scold me. I left in tears. Please value our children's safety!

Decent selection and great employees, however, Installing 3 obnoxiously giant speed bumps directly in front of your store has made going to this store an absolute headache. Not only this, but you have completely disregarded the potential customers who would have driven past your store, and now absolutely wont because of the risk of destroying their tires or axle

Sweet deals and friendly staff. If only customers would stop completely blocking the aisles...

They are closed two days out of the week and constantly change their hours. For example, they currently close at 6pm on Saturdays when they are supposed to be open til 8pm.

I have always loved thrifting at goodwill, but today I went to purchase a knit sweater (found with the rest of the sweaters) that just happened to have a full center zip. I went to purchase and was informed that the knit sweater was now a “jacket” because of the full zip. The price went from $3.99 to somewhere around $8.00 because of the “jacket” classification. There was no tag specifying the difference, nor was there any signage in the store that would indicate that any knit sweater with a full zipper is now classified as a “jacket” according to Goodwill and charged as such (surprise!!) at the register. The cashier who informed me of the salience of my “full zip knit sweater” seemed to indicate this has not been a popular tactical change on the part of the company. I have never once written a public negative review, but I am doing so because this tactic is not only surprising to the customer but seems a bit like a gimmick. This review is not about the extra four or five dollars I spent, but rather about your business practices .

I love going to the Goodwill. Found a few gems today. I think it’s a good thing to recycle and buy things pre owned. They have a very friendly staff here. Thanks for all the help.

This is a great thrift location. Not to best one out of the metro, but still often a favorite. I found some quality items that I was very excited about.

Scored these 2 gray storage ottomans for $2.99 each yesterday. In good shape/small stain on top of one. But no problem. Worth every penny. Got my senior discount on top of it!

For being the headquarters they have surprisingly paltry pickings. Goodwill, I've seen your website, i know you get good stuff and every thrifter knows you've been jacking your prices because you can. Its not a good look.
