I’m giving this apartment complex (while under ownership of Artisan) a five because I haven’t had any issues here. The landlord Bobbie has been amazing! She is super down to earth and makes sure that residence needs are met. In general she’s just amazing with the residence here. She also communicates great with our maintenance guy David. David not only make sure that needs our met, but he’s great at communicating with residence and is very thorough about his work.
I’ve never had such a great landlord and such a great maintenance man!

EDIT: So frustrating working with management here. We did not get our security deposit back due to damages that were there when we moved in, which were discussed with management at the time and tracked in the records. When you try to contact them, they give you a number that rings busy all hours of every day.
We honestly enjoyed our time at Johnston Gardens to an extent; however, it is definitely apparent that things have changed in just the 2 years that we lived here.
Management is constantly miscommunicating, and it seems like money is all that they care about. We dealt with a horrible neighbor; however, that itself is not the management's fault. Know that you can hear things through the walls extremely easily.
ALSO, read your lease. They intentionally make moving out confusing, and you'll end up paying more than you planned.

The team at Johnston Gardens is incredible! David, Cassie, and Souky are so nice and attentive. We have been living here for 3 years and if anything goes wrong they are very quick to fix the issue and make it right. Would recommend Johnston Gardens to everyone!

Absolutely not a place to live. 3 years ago it was fine. Then new owners. Trash everywhere and police are breaking up issues weekly. Very noisy apts and lots of barking dogs.
The new manager is a piece of work and has zero interest in anyone's well being.
Former renter until September of 25.

They ok, seems quiet, kids apt is spacious lots of storage, microwave and washer/dryer provided. Internet comes with the rent 2 br 2 ba think kid pays 900-1200 a month pets are allowed

The apartment manager, Cindi, is one-of-a-kind! The entire complex is in tip top shape because of her leadership and, quite frankly, intelligence. She cares about the residents, grounds, and matching people with their apartment home. If you are leaving a house for apartment living, the high ceilings and open floor plans will ease the transition. If you have a pet and are a responsible pet owner, this complex is convenient to walking trails and green space. It’s a wonderful place with wonderful staff!

I loved living here for the past two years! The only reason for me leaving is to be closer to work. Cindi the manager has been very understanding & helpful. If I needed anything fixed it was always fixed the next day. The neighborhood is very quiet & huge benefit is that you are close to everything shopping wise or you can hop on the free way. Great place to live!

Never been a renter before. I worked with Cindi Thomas and she was very patient with me. I had LOTS of questions and she was able to answer them and did so quickly. I had to make a request for a problem with my door and it was taken care of promptly. Can’t think of anything negative to share.

I relocated from Minnesota to Iowa at the beginning of the year for a job promotion, one of the most stressful experiences in the past has been finding a good apartment and place to live, and I was worried the features I wanted wouldn’t be possible within my preferred budget. I found Johnston Gardens and reached out, the Property Manager Cindi, reached out to me within the hour, sent me multiple pictures of the unit, talked to me about the features and made the process so easy.I ended up having to move even earlier than expected, and Cindi went above and beyond in moving my lease up, making sure I was all set up and made the process extremely easy. She is absolutely amazing and communicates with all her residents extremely well and on a personal basis.Each unit has W/D in unit, modern appliances, showers and plenty of space. Really glad I chose these apartments and would recommend them for anyone looking for their next home!

I am new to Johnston Gardens and by far have had a great experience. I got approved in less than 24hrs and the leasing process was fast! Cindi the manager is so sweet and makes you feel welcomed. The units are very spacious and modern, I love it. ?

I really enjoyed my time at Johnston Gardens. Great location in Johnston and the apartment was very nice. Large bathrooms and closet areas, as well as large open living area. Would highly recommend for anyone moving to the area!
