“One time I got bacon from the meat counter here. I asked the young man "how many strips of bacon is in half a pound?" He said "I don't know let's find out together." He grabbed a hunk-o-bacon and put it on the scale. Then he said "Aw, wow, there's hella bacon up in that half pound." Now every time my husband and I plan to buy bacon, we say that we need "hella bacon" All thanks to mystery man at Hy-Vee meat counter. Other than the bacon shenanigans at the meat counter, I also think it's very nice that the ladies at the registers don't judge me when I go in every single morning for one blueberry muffin and a single can of energy drink... when a normal person would just buy a package of muffins and a 6 pack of beverages so they don't have to go to the grocery store daily... we've all got our weird idiosyncrasies and I'm glad to not be judged by the helpful smiles at Hy-Vee Oskaloosa for mine.”
