About Livermore Public Library

The Livermore Public Library (Iowa), established in 1935, began as a small initiative by local residents to provide a public library for their community. Initially, it was housed in a primitive building near the Methodist Church, where townspeople shared books & the library was funded through community efforts & donations. A new building was opened in 1980. Over the years, the library has evolved, now featuring a variety of resources including books, computers, community programs aimed at supporting the local population, and more. The library is maintained by the City of Livermore, Humboldt County, & the State of Iowa, with a dedicated team of librarians & volunteers working to enhance the community's access to information & resources.
