Having worked in the Auto Service Industry, I had certain expectations of how this repair and service would be handled. The appointment was taken by a non-service department employee and he guaranteed I would have an appointment on Monday morning 1030 hrs. I explained that the main reason for the visit was to diagnose a shuddering issue resulting in a loss of power caused by a diagnosed cylinder #2 failure. At a minimum I wanted this repaired and all spark plugs replaced. Since it would be in the shop I also requested an oil/filter change, tire rotation and a recall taken care of as well. I also asked to be called with an estimate for the repairs.I dropped the vehicle off at 1030 hours on Monday as scheduled. It’s a 45 minute drive from home to the dealership. I purchased this vehicle at this dealership and have had service done here before. I explained in detail what the visit was for and the advisor looked confused when I started talking about the cylinder #2 issue. He said they would look into it and perform the other items on the list.I heard nothing the rest of the day. I called the dealership after 1700 hrs understanding I might not get to talk to the service department. A gentleman answered the phone and said he would leave a message for the service department to see Tuesday Morning.At about 1000 hours on Tuesday and after having heard nothing from the Service Department, I decided to call to get an update. The advisor informed me the work on my truck was done. “Really?” I asked, “including the cylinder diagnostic, repair and spark plug replacement?”Silence.The advisor then said, “Oh we have that estimate for you right here.”Why wasn’t I called with the estimate?He told me what it would cost and asked if I would like the repair done. I said yes.Tuesday evening I was called to be told the repair had been completed. I told them I would pick up the vehicle Wednesday morning.I arrived at the service department Wednesday morning and noticed 6 dirty spark plugs laying on the counter and surmised they came from my truck but wasn’t sure. I paid the bill, got in my truck to leave and the service advisor came trotting out of the garage and waved me down. He asked if I noticed the spark plugs and I said yes. He proceeded to tell me the plugs (Original Ford parts) are notorious for a phenomenon known as “tracking”. He proceeded to “advise” me that the next time the truck needs plugs I should NOT use Ford parts but use NGKs. I asked what they put in the truck, he said the Ford OEM plugs.As a former service advisor. I was dumbfounded. This man had the chance to call me, tell me this issue with Ford plugs and “upsell” me the better NGKs. I would have gladly gone with the better plugs. I’m not sure how the service advisor earns his salary, but I would get a bump in pay if I upsold a customer with better service/parts.Bottom line: Communication. In this day and age customers are nearly always reachable. Runde’s service department needs to beef up it’s communication process. I understand they may be short handed, seems like that’s the case everywhere in the service industry. The quality of the service (except for having better spark plugs in my truck) was fine.

We had a great experience at Runde Ford! They were able to solve a serious issue on our Ford F350. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. We would highly recommend them.

Battery light came on right as I was leaving on vacation, pulled into Runde to have it checked out. Was told it was the battery so I had it replaced. An hour later the battery light came back on. Called Runde and asked about it. Was told it was a communication error and not to worry about it. An hour later we were broke down on the side of the road. Got towed to another Dodge dealer, Billion, who repaired our car with a new alternator.

Employees at Runde were knowledgeable and experienced about our concerns with our vehicle. We received timely service and left with total confidence in there abilities to assist with fixing the problem.

These guys are awesome! While driving with my sisters we accidentally drove over a roasting pan cover! It got tangled up under the car and we could not get it off ourselves. The guys in shop got it off for no charge! They also gave us home made cookies! I highly recommend.

Always a great experience! Dan & Tyler have amazing customer service and they don't treat you like another number. They're always timely, fast, willing to help and answer questions when needed. I appreciate Runde and their staff!

Very professional. I had a used care that I was buying privately not through Runde, though iwanted a used vehicle inspection to make sure it didn't have any issues. The service department was very professional, honest and kind.
