I was a past employee (2006 - 2008) so I should know how customer service/cashier courtesy should be like. Regardless, I chose Walmart as my "go to store" for all my needs but lately I was treated like I don't matter through their checkout! Customer service putting it politely "IT SUCKS", twice in a row now!! I'm not sure, if it's racism or it's just both cashier that I've chosen but they are literally rude each time to "ME"!! One cashier spoke to a customer behind me while ringing my items up and no "meet & greet" just continue their conversation with her friend until all my items are rung up and I had a cart full. It was irritable and I submitted a review on this incident to the store manager as well. And on a different day, another cashier, did the same thing just rang my stuff up and no "meet & greet" either, but slightly better (smh) she didn't talk to anyone behind me. I mean when I was a cashier I always greet people, how could you not, customers standing right in front of you. I would always say "Hi how are you, did you find everything okay?", you know the usual blah, blah, blah, like humans do, but not a word, I'm the customer but I felt awkward so I'm the one who ask her how she was. And she actual answered "fine thank you", FOR REAL? After I asked her, I thought to myself, this ain't right! I spent lots of money here each week/month. But I'm so done with this place to be miss treated by cashiers like this!! I was always polite to all my customers no matter what my situations or how bad my days was. Customer service is not the same anymore!! Food cost is expensive as it is. I don't want to add bad service to my bill either. NO THANK YOU!!THANK GOD FOR OTHER STORES AND ONLINE SERVICE OUT THERE. 1st time review for this store as part of a Yelp elite squad!

I like the friendly service and the easy availability of everyday items! Great to have this in our community. They generously give back to the community through their grant program!

My complaint is the removal of name brand products. I use some of the Great Value brand but other things I want name brand and will pay more for it. I then have to go to Fareway to get the name brand or order on Amazon.

I dont know if they have a new inventory manager or store manger or what but ....... i have noticed in the last 7 or 8 months that they are OUT of a lot of items on the shelves . Its now an almost guarantee these days that they will not be able to fill my shopping list anymore ..... So i am forced to frequent other stores (Costco ) i may end up just driving out of town and going there first in the future if the maquoketa store does not get a handle on this .

I have been running into items you haven't been able to purchase. They take it off the shelf's.I was looking for Murphy's Oil Soap.I was looking for Polar Bear Ice Cream that has been taken off the frozen compartments.I asked the Head Cashier she said they were taking things off.The ice cream was excellent and reasonable price.I went to Dollar General purchased Murphy's Oil Soap. They brought the Murphy Oils Soap back.I still continue to buy it at Dollar General. But if you would like to ask us to bring something back tell them. Also they need to package like I bought Drain Cleaner and they put it in the same bag as Dental Floss,Snicker Candy Bar.

Fairly limited in variety of items since this is a small town. Seems like every month something else that I used to buy disappears off the shelves and I need to go to Fareway to find it. My biggest critique, is that a lot of the cashiers lick their fingers to open the shopping bags. Gross! The store should be able to provide the little containers of stuff that you rub your fingers on to be able to open the bags. I have a friend who's son is immunocompromised and bringing home germs on all the bags and all the items these cashiers touch is potentially harmful for him. I even saw a manager do this! YUCK!!
