Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency is a well-maintained and organized facility that functions more like a park or educational center than a typical landfill. The site features sculptures made from scrap, lush green areas, and clean, modern buildings, with little to no unpleasant smells. The staff are friendly, helpful, and in good spirits, creating a welcoming environment for visitors. Clearly marked areas for different types of trash make it easy to dispose of waste, and the facility maintains a high standard of cleanliness. Visitors appreciate the friendly and humorous staff, especially at the scales, which often become a highlight of their visits. The agency is praised for its cleanliness and efficient service, with some noting it as the cleanest landfill they have seen. The attendant at the scale is described as polite and informative. Despite positive experiences, some have expressed concerns about the limited hours, wishing for later closing times to accommodate those who work later in the day. There are also questions about whether spray paint cans are accepted in residential drop-off or classified as hazardous waste. Overall, the Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency is valued for its organization, friendly staff, and clean environment, making waste disposal a more pleasant experience.
Would spray paint cans be part of the residential drop off, if I’m correct? It has danger on them though so in that case would they be part of the hazardous?

I have owned fixer up homes in Arizona, California, and Florida. Taken my remodel trash to landfills.Linn County Iowa has the cleanest, easy to dump landfill I have ever seen. And the car/truck scale attendant lady was friendly, informative, and polite.I'm impressed by a government "agency" for the first time ever.
