I’ve done my taxes with Kasik for 4 years and have never had such a bad experience as I did this morning. My boyfriend and I got our taxes done separately this year and the last, this year the cost were a higher so we nicely asked why this was. (Income related, inflation, rate increase etc). The woman at the front desk was extremely rude to us, and didn’t give us an explanation. To clarify, we were not upset because the rates were increased, we just wanted an explanation. We were upset when the women behind the desk insisted we were wrong multiple times, and refused to give me my paperwork back when I told her I’d rather file online. (My return was around $200, and I would be paying $125 to get my taxes filed. Common sense says, file it online for next to nothing or free so I get to keep most of my return). I was talked to like a child and told “no” as if I was trying to steal from the business when in fact it is allowed to take your paperwork and file elsewhere. I tried to explain this but the lovely woman behind the desk insisted she was right. Only after I asked to speak to the owner, the woman was corrected and I was given my paperwork. I suggest getting better help for the front desk, she was extremely caddy and clearly unaware of how the process works. Customers are allowed to ask a questions and should be treated with respect even if your unsure of something. (:
