Generally good experiences servicing my VW, though communication needs improvement. On my last visit, I was told 4 hours. At the five hour point, when I had heard nothing, I called and couldn’t reach anyone in service for an update. Gave up and got a ride to the service office in person, and my car was done. No notification until the next business day when I clearly had already picked it up. Everyone was nice, but my expectations weren’t managed. Courtesy drivers were fantastic!

Everything was extremely smooth and it gave me peace of mind that I had a solid team looking out for me! Jordan was did extremely well in going slow and answering any and all questions for me. Finance team was quick, smooth, and efficient. 10 out of 10!

Since moving to Cedar Rapids I have had the pleasure of using McGrath VW to service our vehicle. We have really appreciated the thought and care they take in their approach. I’d definitely recommend working with McGrath when looking to purchase a vehicle. From the moment I walked in, they were focused on my needs as a customer. I worked with Cynthia to find the right car and she made me feel like the process was quick, smooth, easy, and non-stressful. Jayden worked with me on financing and protection packages, and worked hard to get a package that would fit my budget. Go get your car from them!!! And if you’re a woman, I can guarantee Cynthia will make you feel seen and heard when you’re trying to choose a safe and reliable vehicle.

Very happy with the car I bought, very disappointed with the dealership experience. Poor communication, constantly asking for something else that's supposedly required paperwork even after the deal is done and car is mine, and shady/incompetent techs and salespeople. After finding a rare car on their lot, looking it over, I put my deposit down, and did a test drive. Drove very well, and did not notice anything abnormal. 2 days into ownership, I find that the emergency brake system was broken, and grinding into the rotor. I immediately brought this to their attention, and they refuse to fix it based on the AS IS status. Their AS IS paper they had me sign stated that they agree that they are selling the vehicle with a working brake system. The E-brake is part of that system. This has been an extremely frustrating process to buy one of my dream cars. People warned me not to buy from McGrath, and if it wasn't for the specific rare car, I wouldn't have. Other than the brake issue, the car is in remarkable shape for it's age, and is an absolute blast to drive.
