Michaels has always been a great place for craft items but this last experience is forcing me to give them one star, zero if possible. I had purchased two picture frames for a project my daughter was working on all while taking advantage of their BOGO sale. After our purchase, which was the last day of the sale, we found out later that evening that one frame was badly damaged. Going back in the very next day with the receipt, asking only for an exchange, the clerk was adamant about giving me cash back for 1/2 of my original purchase. I mentioned again that all I wanted to do was exchange it and get only what I originally paid for. He stated he couldn't do that and had to give me cash back, requiring me to repurchase the exact same frame but this time, at the regular price. I felt I was being penalized for them selling me a damaged product. FYI, the manager on duty also said this was policy. What happened to simple and honest customer service. In the end, it was my daughter that has to find an alternative solution to her time sensitive project. Thanks, Michael's.

Wow what sad customer service. Kiki didn’t have anyone in her line but was so busy reading her phone which was propped right in front of her against her keyboard, that she suggested I go to self check out. When I told her I wasn’t using a credit card she said begrudgingly “I can check you out then.” Not one smile and literally talked to me while looking at her phone. Silence when she handed me my purchase. I don’t really fault Michaels- what do you do when you can’t find decent help? You find a warm body with no personality.

Not the same Michael's that I remember from twenty years ago. Yet I think this has to do more with the society we live in now than with the store itself. Retail is just not the same as it was twenty years ago.

The worker in Arts and Framing had no idea what I was looking for. They do not carry canvas frames or plexiglass that I needed.

The selection has really deteriorated. Now they've add self-checkout. At least the owners aren't always being arrested for antiquity theft.

Frustrating to shop at Michael's due to lack of merchandise in the store. Today I wanted refills for a tape runner gun I use often. No refills at all in store. When you can't find one thing it dampens the desire to shop in store since I know I'll have to find it online so might as well buying everything online.

Its a great craft store but offers so much more. They are all ready-made seasonal decorations are beautiful and the store offers many items a person may need for their own art projects.
