New paint, except painted over locks. Quickly going downhill. Worst storage unit I have ever seen. Unit full so you just leave your door open and put extra stuff outside the unit door.Using this place as a dumping ground. No down spouts. Light have been taped over so they stay on. Waste.

Bianca was an amazing patient woman. In a world where it can be difficult to speak to another human being. When you’re having trouble with an account, she was kind, understanding, compassionate, and extremely helpful. She listen to me patiently, let me know everything that she was going to find out, and returned my call promptly the same day. Everything was sorted out, and she did nothing but offer beautiful, encouraging words, the whole way through. What a gem!

Gosh I really truly don't even know where to begin, Bianca helps me incredibly I cannot thank her enough for helping me to get my bill squared away and making my life a little bit easier. My things were ready to be auctioned it's all I own I fell into a few different hardships here in the last 3 months and fell behind and was just sick to my stomach worrying about losing all that I own. But I called the number and Bianca incrediably helped me.. my things will no longer be auctioned tomorrow and as of today I'm starting fresh. Thank you thank you thank you Bianca there's not enough people in the world like you. God bless

These people are horrible to work with. I wouldn't recommend them to our worst enemy. They never call back - never answer their phone and then they send out threatening alerts when there shouldn't be any. They bought all of these storage units and can't handle the management of them. They don't know what end is up. Don't rent from them - such a hassle.

Updated 01/27/2023Greater than 60% increase in monthly rental agreement AND charging 32.00 over their advertised rental fee of 113.00 largest climate controlled unit (I was renting the 99.00 climate controlled unit).This remotely managed storage facility has held onto two rental payments. One was from November and the other from December which they have just deposited this month AFTER I was finally able to access the online payment option and pay off my "past due" monthly rental agreements. I was sent notice of intent to sell my items on January 1st if I had not brought my account up to date.They have now overcharged me 285.00.Someone did contact me and leave a message as the early review response states, but my attempt to call them back was not answered. Either the phone rang with no answer or I received no response after leaving a message.I would be interested to know how many customers they increased monthly rental fees by 60% and continued to charge well over the advertised 113.00 fee for their largest climate controlled unitSee below. I was renting the 90.00 unit (not the 113.00 unit) which they increased the monthly fee to 145.00.Yes, it is clean and fairly secure but Mason City Storage has poor business practice.I chose to remove my items from the unit and patronize another business.Updated 12/15/2022UNFAIR Business Practice: Atlas Mini Storage is now owned by Mason City Storage. As of October, the owners have increase my rental rate of 90/month to 145/month. An increase of 61%. I rent a small climate controlled unit. I will be looking for a more affordable rental unit, but I am left wondering if this is an ethical increase? Yes, the cost of living and doing business has increased but I am unsure that a yearly increase of 61% is sustainable for most of their customers.Update: In addition to the 60% monthly rental increase, I am paying 40$ more than their larger/largest climate controlled unit which is 113$/Month.No thank you. I have attempted to reach your local office, the phone number on your website and the phone number on the last statement. I was successful once and the call was disconnected mid conversation and when I tried to call back to reconnect an automated message stated no one was available to take my call. I left a message.I have sent multiple payments through autobanking because the website online payment option states it does not recognize my account number or email address. Up until the company was sold I could access this option. These checks have already been processed as an automatic payment and were delivered to their Mason City business address provided in the websiteas of November 28th. The checks remain unredeemed by My storage, yet they sent me an intent to sell notice (dated 12/17/022) if my past due rent is not corrected by 1/1/2023.So, yes a 1$ first month rental promotional fee sounds wonderful, but please be wary. The following month the owners may choose to increase your rent well above even the regularly advertised agreement.My rent started at 90$ for the 8x12. MC storage, new owners chose to charge me 40$ more than their largest climate controlled unit (113). There are many other storage choices in Mason City -
