I've stopped in many times to pick up some food items to go and they have all been yummy! Also fun assortment of cheeses, meats, etc. with many local offerings. Every time I've been in town they are open when many other places aren't.

Cozy atmosphere, delicious food! Highly recommend for lunch in Prairie du Chien. The Cuban sandwich is fantastic.

A small grocery store with tons of meat and flavored meats. Very small, but plenty of salsa, meat, cheese, beer, and cider. We bought some flavored salami.They are also a coffee house. Fresh coffee and specialty coffee. There are chairs outside to side and relax too.The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Cute shop, great location and nice selection. However the service is shockingly bad. When I asked the barista for recommendations on espresso drinks (as they have a great menu) and the response I received was “no.” The barista was very rude. The espresso is weak, but the lavender syrup is lovely. It’s sad because this place has potential, but the service is enough to not want to come back.

Katie made the perfect meat & cheese tray for my daughter’s baptism! She knew the right size & was spot on. Highly recommend By the Spoonful for your events. Affordable and easier than doing it myself

Great little shop loaded with fantastic products, mostly food related and they have specialty coffee drinks! I tried the snickerdoodle latte and they didn’t mind making it 1/2 sweet and they usually use whole milk unless you request something else which I love! We bought some meat sticks and beer cheese dip that were both wonderful! Friendly employees too! Overall great experience!

When we are on the road we really enjoy checking out local everything... including local coffee joints... but "Spoonful" is much more than that. It's local... to be sure, but it's got a little of everything. It's also a deli of sorts... and it's got coolers and freezers full of local meats... shelves full of sundries from nearby and afar. Big variety of local beers. I was tempted by the peanut butter stout beer... but it was just 9AM. The coffee was good, solid. I had a 4 shot Breve... companion a 3 shot latte. They had fancier concoctions, including Halloween themed coffee drinks. So if you find yourself in the thriving metropolis of McGregor, Iowa... check them out!

Great service and good lattes. The little shop is cute. It is a very tiny space, so someone could feel very claustrophobic in there.

Best unexpected shop in McGregor! Besides some local jams, salsas, and the perfect items for your next charcuterie board, this shop has freezer meals you can take and bake later! The selections are endless. I was like a kid in a candy store trying to make decisions. There are also freshly made sandwiches that are superb and not short on quality ingredients. Grab a sandwich and a fun soda and sit in the park to eat. I can't say enough about this place and would have given it more than 5 stars if possible!

A unexpected yummy experience. Homemade delectables, fantastic stacked up gourmet style sandwiches and the cookies are over the top! We enjoyed our lunch on the sidewalk table just outside the store and would plan a picnic if tables were full. We will be back for sure! Good job!
