The Freedom Rock is a large boulder painted with murals in honor of the US Military's service throughout the years. The creator, Ray Sorensen II (also known as Bubba), changes the murals every May to be completed by each Memorial Day since 1999. The only mural that doesn't change is the large green Huey helicopter on the north side, which contains the ashes of over a hundred different Vietnam Veterans. Bubba can be commissioned to paint custom murals on the inside and outside of buildings, including rocks. Visitors describe the Freedom Rock as a very moving and beautiful sight, with the artist's talent being highly impressive. It is a great tribute to veterans, and the annual painting is an exciting event to witness.
Amazing he changes this every year and it only get better. Well worth the stop.

Freedom Rock is a pretty cool place that honors veterans and they have some really talented painters for their murals. I donated an OIF veteran hat to their memorial pole since I didn’t see that represented. I recommend stopping in, it’s just a quick jog off the freeway.

It's always enjoyable to visit it. I've never been disappointed by a design. Truly inspiring!
