I got a personal tour from the gentleman that owns it. I am not sure what is more of a treasure, the man or his museum. The man has a wealth of knowledge of this area. I hope people take the time to visit this little museum.

My husband and I just left and we could have stayed all day!!! Clark is a true legend and historian. What he has and the stories he tells to go along with them are worth the trip alone! He is 85 years young and I look forward to going back. He makes you feel like your visiting family as he tells you stories about the history of the area. I'm so grateful we stopped in. Can't wait to grab some amazing antiques and listen to anything he wants to tell me. 5 stars ? ? ? ? ?

If the Okoboji area means anything to you, owe it to yourself to visit with Jerry and get a personal tour. This won't be here forever.

Absolutely amazing the amount of knowledge Mr. Clark has about all the items he has in his collection, and the local legend and lore. We went with our 10 and 14 yr. old daughters, and they were also enthralled with all the stories he's able to spin. An absolute must to go take the time to see and have him take you on a tour thru history!

If you are interested in learning about the history of Okoboji and the great lakes region then this is the place to visit. The Clark museum has a treasure trove of memorabilia and artifacts from Arnolds Park, Okoboji and the surrounding area that will captivate your interest. The owner and proprietor, Jerry Clark gave us a personalized tour and shared his vast knowledge of the history of the area enriching our visit with information he has accumulated over his lifetime. We spent about two hours but could have spent the day b/c there is so much to look at.

Just like the website says, don't plan on just going for a few minutes, especially if you run into the man that runs the place. His family has been in the area since the mid 1800s. He's got so much information and items. If you're into lakes area history, this is a great place to go. He also has a lot of the items out of the old funhouse that was at Arnold's Park, and things from before I can even remember the place. Younger kids might get a little bored, but history buffs will love this place. Go earlier in the day when it's cooler out. There's only one person running this place as his wife passed away a couple of years ago. As of 2022, the man is almost 86. So if you can't find him just check around the other buildings you'll find him talking someone else's ear off. He also has lots of things for sale.

The proprietor, a gentleman of 85 years, gave us a two hour personal tour. The knowledge/history this gentleman has of the Arnolds Park Amusement Park and the Okoboji area and all of Iowa is amazing. Two buildings full of memorabilia, most one of a kind, with excellent descriptions. Also on the property is an older two story house that is filled with antiques to buy. Don't miss this almost hidden gem.

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon in January when Google Maps and the website said it would be open. It was closed. If you are making plans to visit I recommend trying to call first to double check hours and availability.I'll be sure to update the review when I get a chance to actually visit or if hours are updated.

First time to Okoboji, was interested in seeing and learning about the area my mom spent with her family during the summers as a young girl. The museum is loaded with so many really neat artifacts, articles, newspapers, signs and memorabilia from the past. It was a lot of fun exploring the history of the Okoboji area from the extremely knowledgeable owner. Truly an amazing place, could spend hours there!

Amazing experience to see such an amazing collection, and you can not beat the stories that go along with the items! Jerry Clark (The owner) was definitely a bright spot all by himself. Would highly recommend going to check this place out!!

This is an AMAZING museum and store which includes a collection of photos, memorabilia, signs from the past as well as many antiques. The topper for the day was getting to meet Jerry Clark and hear some great stories. He and his wife collected things to make up the museum and it is so well organized as to the lakes and towns around. My brother and I have been going to Okoboji for over 50 years and it was as if we took a walk back in time with some great memories. It is a MUST!!!!! Take your time so you can take it all in!
