“Good breakfast and quiet. Comfy beds. Shower was a little down on pressure and shower only, and heat didnt work in my room. But was still comfortable. I wud recommend and stay again. Price was reasonable for today's standards.”
“This is hands down the best motel I’ve ever stayed in! It is clean, comfortable, and artistically designed thanks to the devoted owners.
This is a beautiful property that would be great for a small event or family reunion! The communal back yard area is very cute with a fire pit and chairs.
The check in process was very easy. There is a special spot for after hours/digital check in. Plan to reserve ahead of time as they are busy!
We stayed in room 7 and loved it. Very comfortable mattress, robes, and snacks. There was also a microwave, and a nice hot shower. Everything was very clean. We would love to come back and stay in the Locust street cottage adjacent to the motel. (There are trash cans here and on the other side of the motel if needed.)
All you could need in Monticello is in walking distance. Pizza, Mexican food, gas station, Theisens, dollar general, and a nice downtown area with a great thrift store are all within a 5-10 minute walk. The Fareway market is about a 5 minute drive away which is locally owned, has a large selection, and amazing prices.
Thank you Gerry for being such a wonderful host. You certainly made us feel welcome and comfortable for our long stay. We will be back!”
