Richie is a great old man, sweet, and helpful. Also so knowledgeable he could probably talk me through and under the hood mechanic type of situation and I'd probably be able to do it because he knows that much and is very precise with what's going on with a car and fair and decent prices. He's got beaters and high-end luxury vehicles and if he doesn't have it he can find it for you!

My husband had to have his truck towed to the dealership for warranty work. Rich's came to our home, hooked up to the truck, at which point my husband realizes the "hooks" have scratched the bumper clear down to the metal in multiple places, as well as bowed the bumper guard around the tow hitch, and dinged up the plastic near his backup sensors. The tow truck operator comments to my husband "I won't charge you for the tow", like that makes up for damaging our vehicle. When pressed about the issue, the operator tells my husband this wouldn't have happened if he had used his other rig (like that was our fault), and that he doesn't carry insurance for damage to our vehicle. Then he just turned around and left. I logged a complaint with the Iowa DOT, as per their regulations, businesses that advertise a towing service must carry insurance. We'll be pursuing damages from Rich's through our insurance company, or small claims court, but buyer beware. Do not use this company for a tow.
