I went to this location to sign up for Verizon home Internet. They messed up the process so badly that it is taken six calls to Verizon customer service and five trips to the corporate store on Delaware in Ankeny to try to get it all fixed. I have probably put 20 hours into this process of just trying to be a Verizon customer. I should have known while I was there that this was going to end badly. The guy working was trying to help three different people at the same time instead of giving one customer his undivided attention. Obviously that’s when mistakes are made. Not only did I not get Internet set up, a separate account was created and the phone line was assigned which I had later got billed for, and almost taken to collections for because I didn’t know the account existed. And neither account was even created correctly. It was such a mess. They need to make it more clear that this is an authorized reselling location, not an actual Verizon store. All they can do is sell your product, they will not do anything to try to help you fix it.

We went to the Newton Verizon in January to help my 80 year old grandmother set up an account. We've been trying to help her pay her bill, but the person in store refuses to help us. They said we need a pin to access her account, she doesn't remember it, again, she is 80. We asked if they could help us reset the pin. I've previously worked for this store, I have been able to call and help customers reset their pins. Our latest interaction took place today, 2/20, at around 1000. Where again, the worker refused to assist in any way. Her phone has been shut off because Verizon won't let us give them money without knowing the pin. We are now taking my grandmother to another carrier because this is absolutely ridiculous.

If you really want to go to a place where they're extremely knowledgeable on the product, go see Dillon! He's extremely patient with the elderly, and knows his products. Dillon and Chris both answer your questions in a way that you will understand.Seriously, go to Newton Verizon. They will take care of you!

Posting on behalf of my grandmother because, well, it’s the internet. She had gone into Verizon in Newton to get a new phone and new service. She said that Dillon was initially very helpful but high pressure. Wanted to sell her a watch, charge cord, etcetera. She said she did not need those things, but was pressured into buying these things. In fact, she said that she said no and then left the store, got home, and found these things in her bag. Then, she received a subsequent bill for more than the $300+ that was already charged to her credit card. Attempts to return the items have been met with resistance and no offer to make it right. Dillon says that he only does sales and can’t help. Sorry, but sales also includes post-sale customer care. This town has a significant elderly population and I’d hate to think that it’s ok to take advantage of the elderly just to make a commission. Sure, she could have been adamant about no for an answer or just walked out, but she is in her 80s and is able to be confused easily. Just watch out for your grandparents especially if they don’t have a lot of disposable income to recover from situations like this.

She is quick and fast at determining the best approach to the task and very professional in taking care of the problem. We experience her great service face to face. Of course you can also call in for assistance.

My Pixel 3 died leaving Denver last Wednesday, on my way to New York. I chose this store because it is close to I-80, and I could park my rig nearby. Chris was nice, sincere, and professional. I was promoted to a Pixel 7 in about hour. Thank you, Sir!
