The Clarke County Animal Shelter is a simple, not fancy place with good people who seem to care about the dogs. The staff is extremely helpful, courteous, and dedicated, often going above and beyond expectations. Animals are kept in clean and humane conditions; the dogs look healthy and are well cared for. They offer helpful services like a college program for shots and fixing pets. Adopted pets are well socialized and adjusted, making the adoption process a very pleasing experience.
The staff are genuine, hard working, animal loving people.

Sadly, I had to place a young and rambunctious kitten in the shelter as he was in need of more household space than I could provide for him. The staff here was courteous, and the Animals seem to be kept in clean and Humane conditions.
