Update! : It has been 12 days and I have not lost connection one time. Speed is faster than any of my devices can keep up with. Great product!Original review: New install for Ottumwa. Technicians were professional, knowledgeable, and very polite. Complete install of fiber and new 2Gbit service and router, no charge for the install or the router. Flat monthly rate with no hidden fees. So far, so good.I switched as soon as MCG became available in my area.Mediacom 1Gbit has always dropped 3-5 times per week minimum, requiring resets and sometimes 3-5 drops per day. I had tech support here from Mediacom once per year and they never could make my connection stable. Hoping MCG will be fast and stable, I like knowing the network isn't over-worked.

Exceedingly good internet service and a very fair price. My whole experience with MCG right from the beginning has been off the charts awesome. Easy to reach their local office here in Newton, Iowa and those folks have been consistently over the top helpful, the tech Jreyton, who came out did a superb and professional job of hooking us up to fiber optics and helped me get my IPhones, IPad, Landline and Televisions up and running. I highly recommend Mahaska Communications Group.

Worst internet provider I’ve had problems with the internet for almost a month they keep saying they are hitting their bandwidth limit ? should be fixed by the 1st they’re not even giving me a discount for the internet not working ??

MCG turned off my service because they assumed I was moving. No phone call or communication of any kind. Then needed 3 days to schedule to have it turned back on.

We lost service on Sunday. First, a member from tech support called back within 10 minutes. The issue could not be resolved so a member of their team came to our house and replaced the router the same day. This was exceptional service in my opinion!

We accidentally cut our wire for internet and they said they would send someone out this morning(Tuesday Sept.6) to fix it. The gentleman came THIS MORNING and did all the repair work. What a nice, polite, honest,clean,tidy,caring guy. Thank you Andrew, you’re a sweetie.

Had a courteous couple guys dig in the front yard for their Grinnell project. They were very careful driving their equipment in the yard and took precautions so no tracks were left. Thank you both for being so considerate and for going above and beyond.

MCG is the greatest ISP I've done business with. I've needed to use their responsive and capable customer service a couple of times and was always treated well. Today, I received a letter saying my bill is being reduced by $6 mo while keeping the same service. Don't know why it's being reduced, but in all my years on earth I've never seen a bill go down without asking for it before today. Thanks MCG. ?

I honestly hadn’t had any issues with MCG until disconnection. I just called to get disconnected. I have their router and it has to be returned before they’ll do a disconnect. I moved out of the property, but a family member still lives there. I’m 3 hours away. The family member whose there works nights. No drop box, no tech pick up - has to be dropped off inside “at the front desk.” The sheer fact that I will continue paying on it until it’s returned just pisses me off. Typically these routers (at least at a previous provider) were mailed back or dropped at an outside drop box anytime. 1) I didn’t realize it was their router or I would’ve done this before the move. 2) I simply asked if it could be dropped off outside of business hours, because I have the help do that & it’s not an option. 3) I wasn’t going to just not, not return it. It’s the inability to be flexible to get it back that’s frustrating to me. The continuing to pay on a service I don’t use. I’ll go out of my way next week to make a 3 hour one way trip to return the box, during business hours. Then turn around and drive 3 hours back home.
