It's a bit pricey. Groceries are a lot more expensive here than that "other store" people don't like down the street. Only stop here because they're the only place that carries a certain brand of pizza and a particular drink I enjoy. For everything else, I go to that cheaper "other store".

literally the best customer service experience i've had in a decade. i was concerned about something but didn't know if it was an issue or not, i messaged hy-vee online, they followed through in less than a week and sent me a gift card. i've lived in philly for the last six years and the east coast couldn't even touch the level of excellence you find here in the midwest. the gift card was unnecessary but definitely appreciated!!!! thank you! I will be shopping at this hy-vee for a long time.

I went into HyVee to pick up medication at the pharmacy. Pharmacy hours have been cut, which is not helpful. They seem to be short staffed now, and the lines to pick up or ask questions has become considerably longer.
I've had to switch to grocery shop at Walmart rather than HyVee. Prices at HyVee seem to be consistently (considerably) higher than Walmart. On a set income, price matters.
Also, HyVee used to deliver my grocery orders to my home, as I am frequently unable to physically negotiate shopping on-site. With no warning of policy change, HyVee told me that I was not in the "acceptable" parameter to qualify for delivery. They have delivered to me for several years, and I have lived in the same home, only 3 blocks from the Fairfield town square, I am perplexed as to how I am now "too far" from their store to receive a delivery. In my opinion, that is ridiculous.
Considering that Iowa's population segment of older citizens is increasing in size, I would expect HyVee to offer more options to assist seniors, rather than drastically cut them off.

This is for the kitchen workers your food needs to be served hot to customers this is twice now food was cold with a tenderloin and today it was a baked chicken breast I took a couple bites out of it and threw it away! I've worked in food service for 16 yrs and know a lot about handling food and temp and I have a certificate also so I'm very disappointed so food needs to be kept hot and I hope you follow the guidelines to food safety in your kitchen from now on! Thank you!

Hy-Vee is one of the best grocery market chains with some of the friendliest staff in the Midwest! Great produce, the best selection & prices on fresh meats, and a wide selection of food, amenities & even alcohol. Don't forget their rewards card also saves money at Casey's gas stations. You can't go wrong stopping at any Hy-vee.

I really miss Northside the staff was much better the prepared foods were always fresh my stomach never feels right after I eat HyChi now this store feels cramp and inconvenient to even go to and there is no helpful smile in every aisle and the main desk people always have an intolerable attitude I now primarily do all my shopping at fareway or walmart closing north hyvee was a stuoid idea

I Always been a Hy-Vee shopper. Stayed away from big Mart shopping until I get to pricing things. Seems like the last few years ole Hy-Vee wants to jump on that inflation bandwagon and charge almost $7 a gallon of milk! Totally ridiculous price! Lots of things are expensive for such a used to be humble company. But now it seems with the new Richard at the helm he has directed stores to rob us like the rest of the inflation mafia has! Guess he will price himself right out of business in a few years and we’ll be left to shop at Walmart and Fareway for groceries! Milk at Walmart is under $3 a gallon. 2% and chocolate! Not much of an argument there since milk is federally mandated to meet certain ingredients and all 2% is made the same.
