I tried to withdraw $40.00 fron the ATM. It sent one $20 bill out the slot sideways. I removed the $20, but the other $20 was not dispensed. I called customer service and had to spend several minutes before I could report the ATM issue. She transferred me to another person and that person transferred me back to the main menu. When I got home, I called again and talked to a third "rep" who said she could file a dispute for me. Some progress, but it likes the $40 dollars I thought I had is only $20. Half of my grocery money for the rest of the week. Then she said it might correct itself. Regardless, she said we had to wait until the $40 withdrawal changed its status from "pending" to "completed" before she could file a dispute. She already said she could file a dispute. Now she can't file the dispute. This is the second time this happened for a missing $20. They owe me $170 between the two ATM withdrawals and the US Bank credit card fiasco. I wish I could tell you how I really feel. I get paid on Thursday, but I really needed groceries today. I needed cash for the grocery store since I do not trust their card processing system.I will be getting a new account this week and change my banking institution since they made it clear they don't want my business anymore. This is about the ATM, not the people inside the branch. They are helpful.Update: February 13, 2024Well, I did receive a provisional credit within ten business days. I was in the hospital for a few days, so I ciuldn't follow up on anything. Today, I received a letter that agreed that the ATM did malfunction and I could keep the provisional credit. Time for a big slice of humble pie. I did not switch banks and I am happy with the outcome. Last time this happened, I did not get my money as I should have. This time I did.I noticed the kind response and I also appreciate that. I changed my rating to 5-stars.
