I called Quality Auto as I was overdue for an oil change. This was the 1st time I have had any service done at their shop & I wish I had found them sooner. They even pick up your vehicle from your house & drop it back off which is very convenient. Matt was very nice & accommodating. I felt like I had known him for years. He was easy to talk to & even played fetch with my dog. He informed me of some future services I could expect for my vehicle & was nice enough to provide information, quotes, & options. It's definitely nice to he able to trust someone to be honest & provide quality service. I'll definitely be a lifelong customer.Services: Oil change

My wife was driving daughters car from Chicago to KC. A pulley seized on the highway, able to get to the exit. Came across Matt after looking for auto repair as I was 400 miles away. Matt answered quickly, stated he’d be there in 30 minutes. He was. He assessed the issue, obtained tools and parts and repaired the car at a more than fair price in the come and go parking lot, saving us a tow. Great guy, great service, and fair pricing. Wife was back on the road in 2 hours from breakdown. Highly highly recommend. Note…I have never done a google review or any other public review but this warranted the review.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Matt is our car go too guy. He rebuilt the front end and replaced the transmission in my son's car, he's come to our home to help my husband with his car and just recently, he replaced the engine in my 2018 Santa Fe. I'm not one that has any trust when it comes to Auto mechanics but Matt is an exception... he feels more like a trusted family member and always makes me the same way.Services: Transmission replacement

I had a headlight problem and couldn’t have been in better hands! Excellent, convenient, fast, friendly customer service that I didn’t know existed until I did a web search. The sweet, friendly pups were definitely a bonus!!

Broke down 300 miles from home. Had to get a tow and every shop I called said they weren't going to look at it until the following day. I was able to get ahold of the amazing people at quality auto solutions, they not only ordered the part I needed, picked it up, then brought it to me in a parking lot the same day. Not only did they install it right there, they also had me follow them to get it tested (alternator) when it turned out that it needed a little more work, they stayed with me for an additional 2 more hours in a parking lot to get the work completed. If that isn't customer service, I don't know what is. My only complaint would be they are 300 miles away and I can't use them as my regular shop

Before committing your car to the services of this backyard mechanic, ask to take a look at his shop. Unfortunately for us, we only saw it after Matt broke all the deadlines specified in contract, and we were forced to go there, since he was not returning calls. The shop resembled a junkyard, with the access to the driveway strategically blocked by multiple vehicles, so no one could drive in or out. A large dog was guarding the premises. There was a pile of trash next to the walk-in door. No signs anywhere. No office. Clearly, customers were not expected to stop by.The "repairs" to my car by this business cost me in excess of $3K, several months of wait, and enormous amount of stress. After the final repair, the family car, which we had been very fond of, quit the next day after it left Matt’s shop. It had been washed prior to going there for a major repair, and was returned dirty and smelly inside, covered in dust and fingerprints, outside. While it was there, despite my request not to do so, Matt pressure-washed everything under the hood, which resulted in damage to electrical system, water-logged horn, and broken lamp in a brand-new headlamp assembly. I had to point all that out to Matt to get him to fix the damage, because he himself did not make sure that everything was working prior to submitting his invoice and releasing the car. His main concern was to get paid. He does not trust his customers and keeps vehicles until checks clear, after which you have to get the car out of his shop immediately under the threat of being charged $35/day for storage. That was after several months of our time wasted in violation of every deadline that Matt had committed to in the form of a contract. I did not observe any professionalism that other reviewers mentioned. Matt became rude and disrespectful as soon as our car got into his shop. Lacing his speech with profanities seems to be a norm for him. They play nice only until they reel you in. Once they tear your car apart, you become a fair game for abuse. Communication becomes very difficult. Matt used his under-aged kid to pass on information and to drive my vehicle out of his clattered yard. Locals know better than to take their cars there. Unfortunately, we found out too late. This review is for the services rendered during a 6-months period in 2020-2021. The daily reminder of the services that we received from the Quality Auto Solutions is sitting in my garage in a form of a disabled vehicle.Services: Auto engine tuning

I 1st want to say excellent customer service excellent work and they care about you. My car broke down on the interstate I was able to Get to an exit And as I pulled off of the interstate onto the exit it was Divine intervention but there was a Auto mechanic called quality auto solutions located right off of the interstate I called told him I had a problem they were out picking up another vehicle that also had experienced an issue I was told to leave the car there and and that they would look at it. I expected them to look at it on Monday or Tuesday not expecting to get my car back until later in the week however I was quite surprised when I got a call on Sunday saying that my car was fixed and that they were actually bringing it over. They were delivering another car to a town nearby in which they offered to bring my car and trailer that was hooked up to my car when I had the issue to me.. Keep in mind that I live 3 hours and 47 minutes away from where I broke down so so for them to bring me my car all fixed was amazing unexpected unexpected and very appreciative. Appreciative. I would recommend this company to anyone not just because of if you broke down But to anyone for any car repair they're very professional they are courteous they are by all means family I have to say that if I lived closer I would recommend them and I would bring all of my cars to them great job recommend 100%Services: General repairs & maintenance

I was from out of state , broke down along the interstate and called Matt. He came out , helped us off the interstate and gave us a estimate for fixing my truck. He was very professional , went out of his way for me and was good on his word. His estimate was fair and there were no hiding fees ! Would highly recommend this family run business. Thank you again Matt !Service: Transmission

My husband and I are on our way to Charles City to a tournament my husband was playing in and our car ran hot. We happened to pull off on the exit by this shop.... They came out and helped us add water so we could get back on the road. Chatted a bit. Very helpful!

They provided a quality service at a fair price. They were clear about what was wrong with our bus, and they fixed it in a timely manner and got us back on the road. It's a family business for them, and they treat you like family. If you're in need of service I highly encourage you make the drive out here.

Gina your an amazing woman! Insert sarcasm if you would! If your going to post false claims you should prolly post all the details first! Where would I start? Before I got your vehicle you took it to the dealer in Indianola formally watters, I was told she drove it in there and hauled it out but i wouldn’t know what to believe with this lady! you said they put timing chains in it which was a lie it had factory chains in it, you hauled it from there to newton to another garage they couldn’t fix it then I ended up with the wreckage! The car came to my shop in a disoray that it had a junk battery burnt up starter spark plugs missing ect! Based on what you had told me I tore the engine down to verify the repairs that weren’t done! Let’s back up a second this vehicle was prior salvage rougher then a cob and very neglected for having a little over 100k miles on it! When we tore down the engine we found that the intake runners were almost 100% carboned shut, injectors were carboned up and valves wouldn’t seal, we hand the heads rebuilt with new gm components new gm timing gear and chain set! Put it back together and would only build compression on the front bank, took it apart again did a leak down test to find 100% leakage on the rear cylinders, I removed the pistons to find the rings were seized to the pistons, now remember she drove this to the dealership, no way in hell! We put new rings and gm torque to yield rod bolts in this engine reassembled the engine, and while we’re we’re hanging the exhaust looked up to find the material from the pre catalytic converters was missing, looked in the down pipe to find the down stream cat was plugged with the material from the upper car I myself vacuumed the material that blew from the upper cat out of the lower cat! Finished assembling the vehicle and wow it ran! I my self drove this vehicle from st Charles to norwalk to work for a week to verify it was in good working order since this vehicle was a problem child from the start!!! I called gina she came and got the vehicle with her man friend, I assumed she paid my wife whom was home, she never did! I tried reaching her many times with no avail sent her invoice went to her house ect! We were out the money on this vehicle! All the labor parts ect, well luckily I got 1500 down I guess! We looked for this vehicle gina had it hid somewhere we couldn’t find it! Seen her and her man friend in the local stores nothing was ever mentioned about the bill or the vehicle just as it had never happened I caulked it up as a learning experience and let it go! Thousands of dollars as she had previously mentioned in her google review! Almost a year goes by and she tries to sue me for larger number then what was paid, I hired an attorney cause we were in shock like how could a person sue for some thing she never paid for! After our court cause the judge sided in our favor! This is how we finally got paid! If anybody would like to see proof of this case you can privately call me my number is listed online or I’m sure you can go to the Clarke county court house and ask to see the court case GINA JOHNSON VS QUALITY AUTO SOLUTIONS and you can make your judgement! This case happened right before covid and she still won’t stop harassing our family owned business about it!!!!MOVE ON GINA! #tell your car doctor the truth and you may prevail next time!!!Services: Tuning

My car went to.him completely dead. After being there for 11months he asked for $1500 down. Then I still didnt get my car back for another 17 months! Drove it for 3 months and not very far cause I needed update plates, the engine blew. He also removed a catalytic convertor and never replaced it, just left it off. He got paid over $3000 to have my engine blow.Service: Engine repair
