I have always loved this park, my only complaint would be that the lighting in the restroom was extremely dim, but there may have been bulbs out, I'm not honestly sure if it is always that way or if it was due to bulb replacement being needed. My 7yo & 3yo made quick friends with a couple other kids there & even my 14yo came with his friend and ran around playing with them all! The older boys stated that our town needed to build a park like this! They didn't even reach for their ? once the entire time we were there, so that's a win in this mom's ?! ? It's also within walking distance of downtown, where there is Ben Franklin (my favorite store!!), a couple banks, several clothing stores (thrift and new), the movie theater, a cafe & a Christian bookstore. Also within a couple blocks is Dollar General, Hardee's, Subway & Casey's. This park is also great for birthday parties, they've got picnic tables outside the park area but also have wooden tables inside the actual perimeter now, totally kid-friendly and shaded! We pass by all the time and hardly ever see anyone here post-Covid, I don't know if it's due to technology or if this is just the new world, but it's kind of sad. Definitely a great space, so go utilitize it if you get the chance!Playground: It's unique in the way it's built and the kids love to run around and hide in it!!Restrooms: They're somewhat situated further away & were darker than I remember them being, but it could've been due to a bulb needing replacement! My daughter (3yo) was scared to go potty.Dog-friendliness: There is a sign stating no pets in park area. Two gentlemen walked through with a dog (it could've been a service pet) but he wasn't bothering us, so no one said anything.Picnic area: There is at least 1 covered picnic table by the park and several wooden tables inside the park to sit at. There is plenty of grassy area to use as picnic area in the park also.

Kids love coming here. really neat play area and swings. Seating is mostly in the sun depending when you go. Sturdy built wood areas for eating, adequate garbage disposal areas.

Big park plenty of room to run and play. Enough swings so no one has to wait, great for kids of all ages. My children enjoy bringing digging toys and playing in the huge sandbox. Its always fun for us here. Lots to explore! Plenty of side seating, tables and shaded areas as well!
