I've been a popcorn fanatic for decades, and usually make my own but every now & then I'll buy a pre-popped bag on the go.... so got the Butter Heirloom Popcorn at Whole Foods and yes it is tiny and few or no hulls but I give it only 2 Stars cause it has ADDED SUGAR !!! What the duck!?!?Unless it is Carnival Sugar variety or Kettle Corn... there should be NO SUGAR. And if it is sweetened it should state clearly on the front of the bag in BIG LETTERS. Many popcorn fanatics are looking for a salty snack. There is excess sugar hidden in too many foods designed by food processors to get us all hooked. Thus the horrific obesity in the USA in the last 25-30 yrs. Shame on you... big deal it is no gmo etc. You have joined the ranks of other shameless food producers that contribute to the obesity epidemic.

I was actually never able to eat this popcorn because every single microwaveable bag I popped, the popcorn got burnt. For the third (and last) bag, I tried stopping the microwave after only one minute, and the popcorn was already burnt.

I had my first taste of "Tiny But Mighty Popcorn" tonight and I was amazed. I had the Butter Popcorn and it was everything I had hoped it would be. Lite on the tongue but full of flavor, no hulls to get/got stuck in my teeth, great flavor through and through and though from my visual once over of the bag I thought there wouldn't be much in the bag, I was pleasantly surprised once my popcorn craving had been fulfilled and I still had plenty of popcorn for a later time (more than 1/2 a bag). Overall I enjoyed this popcorn very much and am looking forward to enjoying the other flavors as well.

I had their white cheddar popcorn product while on a camping trip. It was delicious. At first I was surprised by the small kernels but the smell and flavor were amazing. This is a great product and I strongly recommend it. Update 11/29/2012 -- I visited Farmer Gene and purchased some sea salt popcorn as well as white cheddar flavored popcorn. It was fantastic. These are some really friendly folks and it was fun to visit their facility.

The first thing you'll notice is how small the kernels are. The window packaging is ideal for showing off those tiny kernels. When you open the package, the scent is the essence of fresh corn. I have a little movie-style popcorn machine at home and the Tiny But Might Popcorn pops really well in it with very little waste of un-popped kernels. I think the bigger kernels get pushed out too quickly when the corn starts to pop resulting in two to three tablespoons of un-popped kernels. Tiny But Mighty Popcorn will maybe have 5-10 un-popped kernels left. Even so, the kernels are still soft enough to crunch on like a corn nut but smaller. The kernels expand to about 2/3 the size of regular popcorn, but the flavor is just out of this world! You can actually taste the corn in every kernel. Another variation I tried was I using bacon drippings (a sustainable practice in my household to try to use every part of the animal) instead of oil and just sea salt to taste. The essence of smoky pork flavor and the sea salt brought out more of the natural corn flavor. It's just amazing!
