We rented a SUV for 2 weeks. Cory or the guy who was working took very good care of us. He helped us out and was kind. This is our 2 time using Hertz and I would rent again in the future.

Hertz needs to investigate the people that work at this location. I rented a car for a one way trip from Des Moines to Sioux City to pick up a car at Jensen Subaru on 6/27. I had the car from 11:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. I asked for a receipt from the fool behind the counter and he told me they weren't a full fledged Hertz dealer. I called my salesman at Jensen Subaru and he came to pick me up. We finished up some paperwork, and I drove home in my new car. Days later I get an email from Hertz with a bill for over $800, stating I had the car for 4 days and put 500 miles on the car. I had the car for less than 4 hours and drove it for just under 200 miles, topping off the gas tank at a nearby gas station. That employee is a fraud!

The manager of this location is a lazy joke. I was told that I would have to sign off on a form saying that the rental had no damage BEFORE I could even see the car in person. Every other car rental business has a rep do a walk around with you to do a pre-rental inspection. The sad part is that the form that you sign is on a MOBILE DEVICE. I was told from the manager that "they don't do walk around inspections with customers before because they don't have a bay / garage to do it in. Just sign now and if you see any damage on the car before you leave come back in and we will note it on the agreement." I was sure to inspect the car thoroughly before I left and took pictures of anything at all. Car was a base model Toyota Corolla which was okay and didn't have any problems.

This company is the worst company to deal with. When trying to ask questions the heavyset gentleman behind the counter will not answer questions and continually says "take it up with corporate." Then while trying to get ahold of corporate there are constant phone issues and promised call backs that don't happen. I will never rent from Hertz again and will continue to support Enterprise Car rentals, never had an issue there before they are the best to deal with! Take lessons Hertz!

1. The woman that worked the counter is never helpful at all.2. Rented the car online for a standard rental. This Hertz does NOT do standard rentals. This rental hertz is for insurance claim rentals.3. Hours posted online are supposed to be the hours of this Hertz according to Hertz Corp.4. Hours are changed with a printed out sheet taped to the front desk. No response to calls. Very inconvenient.

Not much to say because Hertz is Hertz and that's usually who I rent from. However, I have to admit this the first time I can remember in years of getting a car without cruise control. Perhaps, it's what I got because I wasn't returning to the same location and it was a drop-off. They got rid of it and I was the s****** Cruise is important when the freeway posted speed is 80 mph!! And, that's what it is in this area. Car was clean but even though fuel registered full, it was down a whole notch in 25 miles. That says it wasn't really full. Oh well ... One more thing --- my credit card was hit for the rental at 7 AM even though my pick up time wasn't until my flight arrived at 4 PM. Never had that happen before either. Usually it's about an hour before pick up.

Picking up car was good customer service. Returning car was a whole different story. Lady at counter was condescending to customer before me. Then when it was my turn she told me that I had to go back to car and write mileage down for her. I thought she was going to ask me to wash car next. I sent manager email on the matter and haven't heard back since the 27th of April.
