I understand staffing shortages, but waiting over 24 hours in recovery with all the moaning & groaning and hustle & bustle because there are no beds on the regular floors is ridiculous! If it's not an emergency situation and you have a choice, avoid this place!!!

Would not recommend at all. 3 years ago I got into a car accident with my fiancé, long story short I had a compression fracture in my L1 & L3 spine. I was life flighted to MercyOne along with my boyfriend. We both go there at the same time & they ended up having to stick me in an ER room until another room would be available. I just remember the ER staff being so amazing but everything after that was just not okay. Once I was put into an actual hospital room (almost 5 hours of me being there they FINALLY put me in an actual room) they didn't check on me for a good 2 hours. Then a CNA came into my room as the call light was going off & she didn't know how to shut it off & I suggested a few things & she eventually got it to shut off, well then she told me that she was there to help me try to use the restroom, of course I thought the nurse or someone would of told her my situation & that I was not able to just roll over to my side very well or that I wasn't even supposed to get out of bed to walk to the restroom. Anyways, she looks at me & asked how she is supposed to help me use the restroom & I told her I need to log roll to my side & she has to use the bed pan. So she proceeds to roll me over aggressively. Of course I'm sitting there trying not to scream in pain. After that I ask if someone can wipe me down as I still had blood on my face, she tells me that she will ask the nurse & she never came back. A few days goes by & the doctor orders me to wear a back brace so I had to get fitted for it through someone who makes them. Well, that lady almost got drop kicked because she was in no way gentle with putting the brace on. She not only rolled me to my side very aggressively but she tightened the brace to the point I felt my back pop multiple times. I felt so helpless & I started bawling. My boyfriend stopped her & said "her back is broken in two spots, you need to stop now." So she stopped & it seemed like she left the room almost immediately after. I could go on about my experience here but I will say that if you are in any traumatic accident or hurt in anyway this is the LAST hospital you should go to. I had blood on my face until I got home. I was in the hospital for a week!

This hospital is terrible. Worked here and got exposed to TB and was told it was no big deal. They don't provide staff adequate PPE and work their employees to death. Definitely would not recommend being an employee or patient here!!! AWFUL!

Piss poor emergency room nurses. All they did was sit around and gossip. Chattering away on their phones. They didn't bother helping my relative who later died. Their administration is only interested if he had insurance for money. The nurses are snobs. The doctor was ok. I liked his blinking neck tie.
