I would have given them a five star if the purchased remanufactured transfer case had ever worked. The original transaction went ok. Well, I put the remanufactured transfer case in my F150, but the 4L would not work and previously did. The axle would not free spin in neutral. I took it for a test drive and the speedometer was erratic. This is usually a sign of something worn or not right in the transfer case shifting between 4L and 2H or 4H. I finally took the transfer case out after a lot of trying to figure out what was wrong and put in another one from a salvage yard and it works fine with the same electronic shifter. I put the remanufactured transfer case on a table and removed the electronic shifter. In my opinion it wasn’t shifting correctly. I paid for the shipping to return the remanufactured case. They said there was “absolutely nothing wrong”. I guess they can say what they want. I didn’t get any certification. I suppose the next buyer of the transfer case can decide. I just know it didn’t work on my truck (which it should have) and the one from the salvage yard did and I lost money and time. Besides that, my truck works again and I’m happy. US Powertrain gave me 80% back so they made a couple hundred dollars and can now resell the remanufactured case to someone else, so they’re very happy. Since they returned 80% of the cost (not including the $100 I had to pay for shipping), I will give them a generous 80% of the 5 stars, which should raise their ratings a bit.

I bought my transfer case from US Powertrain a few years ago and it’s still going strong. Never had anything but a good experience working this family-owned company. Would definitely recommend!

I purchased a differential for a customer a few weeks ago from J.P. Harmelink. I explained to J.P. that the core unit was damaged through the case and he insisted that there wouldnt be a full core refund (which i understood) but assured me that they would supply some sort of partial refund for core parts, flanges, tubes, etc. No exact dollar value specified, about a few hundred was the understanding. I was ok with it even being in that range. The new unit came in and installed at a 3rd party shop which went well with the product. Facilitating the return was a little tricky as middlemanning the return between J.P. and the shop took some time, to nobodies fault. - After the core was received back, I received an email stating there would be no money returned for the core. I immediately called J.P. and reminded him that he stated to me that i woud have received a partial core credit and now he stated I cant use anything and i never said that. Everything was all 'were the best' and use us for all your powertrain needs' now become a ' oh no it doesnt work that way' and im out of luck for a few hundred bucks. Thumbs down to this company. Extremely Dissatisfied.

Do not use this company! My rear end went up in the spring of 2022 and the repair shop I went to got a rebuild one from this company. 6 months and 6000 miles later it went up. I didn’t tow anything, didn’t drive crazy, even did the recommended break in for the first 1000 miles. Now it is back in the shop, been waiting over a month for them to get the parts to build another rear…and still waiting. Don’t waste your time or money!Owner:I realize you don’t have every part for every vehicle in stock. I am frustrated that it is taking so long to get my truck back, just as you don’t want bad reviews. That being said, if you can ship out my rear this week I will delete my review. That work?

Couldn't find a carrier assembly for my truck anywhere, these guys had it. JP Harmelink went above and beyond making sure my questions were answered and everything was correct. Recieved my part in 3 days. Everything from start to finish went great with this company. Thank you US Powertrain.

Us powertrain will not honor their warranty due to the lift on my truck. I paid for a rear end that leaks fluid out every possible place it could leak from, damaging hundreds of dollars worth of parts. The rear end that I purchased is completely worthless to me now and I have to start from square one.Reply- coming straight from the owner or us powertrain, if u want nice things, don't buy from us powertrain.

Not a good place to do business. I order a rear end for my dodge 3500. Had trouble with the first one. Had two send the old one out of my pickup. Put that one in and trouble with that one to. Had a oil leak the next day, had to send it back. The next one work for 8 months 15,000 miles and had trouble again. They give me new bearing to put in and still don't work. They said no warranty on it. So I have to order a new one. It hasn't been a good year. Be careful
