“We had rented 2 U-Boxes for a gap between our lease ending and a new one starting, as well as a truck rental for pulling everything out of the boxes after. After coming in and having a mix-up over the phone which led us to not have access to our boxes the first day we needed them, Rachel (Manager?) Helped us set up access for the next day and even reimbursed us a bit on a new truck rental the day after.

To give some context: I’m a lifelong LEGO collector and builder. Over the years, my collection grew from a few shelves to an entire room, then to multiple rooms. The centerpiece was a massive, custom LEGO build totaling around 900,000 pieces, broken into dozens of modular sections. When I had to move temporarily and renovate my house, panic set in. This wasn’t just plastic bricks—this was years of work, thousands of hours, and more money than I care to admit.

From the very first phone call, this storage unit place completely exceeded my expectations. I explained my situation, half-expecting confusion or indifference, but instead I was met with genuine interest. The staff didn’t rush me. They asked thoughtful questions about climate control, shelf space, box sizes, and even vibration concerns. One employee actually said, “So this is basically a museum exhibit, right?” That’s when I knew I was in the right place.

When I arrived on move-in day, they were ready. They helped me choose a unit that allowed for custom shelving, ensuring my LEGO modules could be stored without stacking weight on fragile builds. The facility was spotless—no dust, no moisture, no weird smells. Temperature and humidity were clearly monitored, which was huge for preventing warped pieces or brittle bricks.

I visited the unit regularly over several months, sometimes just to reorganize or check on things, and I always felt welcome. No pressure, no attitude—just helpful staff who remembered me as “the LEGO guy.”

Months later, when it was time to move everything back out, the LEGO sets were in perfect condition. No damage. No discoloration. No missing boxes. The care I took in packing mattered, of course—but the environment they provided made all the difference.

This storage unit place didn’t just store my belongings—they protected a passion. They turned what could have been an incredibly stressful experience into something smooth, professional, and even reassuring.
