everything is expensive:( they have overpriced priced all items now, not seeing how they help the needy at all. Most items are used, clothes not washed, sometimes stained, with rips and tears like the shirt i bought for $5 from them can't return now, i should've just gone to walmart they have $1 and $3 sales on clothing sometimes. Toys and some battery electronics don't work also not returnable. I see lots of dollar tree items listed for more here too! Also at the waterloo outlet, they kick people out saying "sorry we're closed" and it's barely 4:00, they're supposed to close at 4:30 according to their schedule posted outside.

Just purchased a toy from Independence location for a child’s reward. It was $8, pretty high. Got home and put new batteries in it, and it didn’t work. Called immediately and said they can’t do anything. They said they don’t test their toys but it’s just a risk you take. Said the manager hasn’t been there in days and don’t know when he is coming back. 10 minutes after buying, receipt, and won’t do anything. Pathetic.

It is a simple fact of the matter that this store illegally terminated me mid stroke. I was subject to human rights violations including body shaming, threats of physical violence from another member of staff.

Cedar Falls store management was awful. Couldn’t keep help. My parents died within a month of each other and the day mom died dad tested positive for COVID. Said I needed to quarantine and be at hospital with dad until we got him home. He died before that. They were buried two weeks and two days apart. Tragic. Unreliable hours of donation center. I’ve gone there twice now during their open hours, the Open sign was lit up, but it was locked and no one was there. No sign indicating the worker was on break or when it would be open again. I’ve sent 2 messages to Corporate with no response. When I called the local store, the lady just said “I don’t know what to tell you”...
