March 13, 2025- Knowing the store is soon closing and nowhere else nearby has a better stock of fabric, I went to stock up on fleece to make holiday blankets, kids blankets, etc. I used an open counter, as well as my cart, to organize my fabric choices and match them up in preparation to be cut. I took a while bc I was buying a lot, but I told the staff to let me know if I was in their way and I would move.
Older lady with grey curly hair did nothing but complain the whole time. Never spoke to other customers she waited on and was rude if she did. She started making snide comments loud enough for me to hear about needing this certain cutting counter, even though the entire big counter was not being used. Told me if I had anything ready to go, she would start cutting to get it out of her way. She got irritated that I didn’t know exactly what measurements I wanted yet and the fact that I didn’t automatically know the width of all fabric was 58”.
I eventually attempted to tell her the size I wanted cut. She, pissy and annoyed-like, snatched the fleece from the counter and moved to another area and started cutting. Never gave me a chance to let her know I needed double the amount of the first one she cut. I tried to explain and she blew up at me saying they don’t make special cuts (meaning if you want (2) 2yard pieces, they only make one cut of 4yards total and you can then cut it to the size you want at home). At that moment, I had no idea what she meant and rather than try to explain, she became belligerent towards me. The more I tried to speak, she would speak over me, then proceeded to call me rude and called for her manager.
In the meantime, other customers that witnessed this encounter, encouraged me to speak to a manager bc she was rude and waaaay out of line.
Manager comes and this employee immediately gets defensive trying to explain herself, AGAIN not letting me (the customer) talk. The manager then waited on me with no further problems. She clarified and answered any questions I had.
However , the rude grey curly haired employee never got pulled aside to be spoken to or anything. She waited on other customers, continuing to be short spoken and rude. She did eventually leave for a short time (I’m guessing to take a break), yet still returning with an attitude.
Prior to leaving, I spoke with another manager at the checkout. She assured me that the employee would be spoken to and apologized for the situation.
I have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully as a customer in my life! This woman needs to retire and never work in customer service again! Her unhappiness with life and impatience with people is very clear upon first approach.
Unfortunately, I will be going back this weekend with my children bc they want to pick out their own blanket fabric. I pray this employee is not there and history doesn’t repeat itself.

Great place, much better than the Hobby Lobby next door. The store has a way better layout, is easier to navigate, and has better items overall. It sucks that they're closing.

The cashier was rude (older lady) would not even acknowledge me waiting in line to tell me she could now help me. Never greeted me and did not even speak during the checkout process. I spent $76.00 work of yarn for knitting. Left the store and this bother me how I was treated. Today decided to take everything back and shop at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. Went to return my items got the same lady again never spoke to me.She did even want to tell me that I needed to put my debit card in the machine to get credited back. The other young lady (multicolor hair) had to tell me to do it. Never got a thank you or goodbye. This was my first time visiting and will n
be my last time. The cashier needs to retire if she doesn't like people. This was so disappointing I will never come back. The cashier was too rude, the other ladies on the floor were very nice and helpful.

I was on a roadtrip with my boyfriend and his brother. Halfway through the trip I got the most bored and annoyed of listening to man things (mostly car mumbo jumbo). I popped my ear buds in but i need something to do with my hands. UNFORTUNATELY I was so rushed to get out of the house this early morning and FORGOT to bring yarn. So I forced (yes forced) them to bring me to the closest JoAnn Fabrics. To make the story EXTRA unfortunate, the town I lived in HAD a JoAnn, but it was forced to close leaving only Hobby Lobby. I’ve missed JoAnn’s. They always have the best yarn deals.
Luckily, I was met with nice and kind employees. SHERRI was very friendly and understood my struggle of roadtrips and men. She even found me a coupon that I could use and reminded me that the store was offering FREE ornaments with any purchase. She deserves a raise or bonus or something. I am happy with my experience here at this JoAnn.

The rudest employees I've came acrossed in the area. When looking for something they pointed up at a massive amount of overstock piled high on the shelves and told us it could be up there but someone messed up inventory so they don't know. My boyfriend and I spent 10 minutes attempting to look in the overstock as it fell all over. We didn't find it. When we went to check out with our other items the lady didn't even look up she just pointed and said "someone will help you over there". 2 girls with multi-colored hair working oin this store and not one could be bother to find a color in their heart bright enough do their job. I'd be ashamed

My absolute favorite craft store! Their fabric selection is the only one I've found that has vehicle headliner material!

I called the store several weeks in advance to ask if they had a motorized wheelchair. They told me they did. I entered the store and there was none there. I asked the clerk if someone was using it. They told me they do not have one, they never had one. The store is too large for me to walk through because of medical issues. They told me they had a wheelchair but no one to push me in it. Had I known, I would have came with someone to push me. Very upset they lied to me and they wasted my time and energy today when I could have gone to Micheal's instead.

Small store, selection is more limited than what I am used to at home.
