I havnt lived in iowa for 20 years. I have always missed being close to a menards until today. I have been in this store 3 times since my return to Iowa and each time I am more disappointed than the last. I spent an hour looking for someone to help me. I finally fount 7 employes all hiding out in a corner and when I made a comment about help not being helpful I got a snide remark from one young girl. The whole day got worse. I wish I would have gotten there names. I can't believe how customer service up here has went to HELL. Sad thing it isn't just menards. They just happened to win the prize for worst today.
If u don't like your job QUIT, but don't make the customer feel as if u are doing THEM a favor. There are plenty of other places like menards that I'm sure would love my money.

Delaney is by far the worst employee i have ever met in my life. She is so rude and disrespectful and just sits on her phone! Young people these days are so lazy!

They sometimes let an emotional cashier cover for the gate attendants breaks. She lies profusely to customers and management after disrespecting customers. She needs therapy not a job at Menards.

OH MY WORD this place has changed after I came back from Denver, CO BRAGGING about it to many people! I should not have, most their things BREAK, doorknobs, lights, a POOL that a manager wasn’t going to take back without being pushed! They took out the nice play area for kiddos as well! Would NOT recommend anymore, better off going to the Home Depot now. They at least sell Husky tools that you can return for LIFE! Two stars for some good employees & inexpensive items that work.

I called our local Menard's just before they were ready to close, and spoke to a gentleman named "Hunter" in "Building Materials" about insulating my bedroom. He was very knowledgeable and understanding. He told me about several options on materials they carry for the job and also gave me names of local contractors so I could get estimates.

Keep Larry, the manager! I had a problem with the pick up of a dishwasher I'd purchased. I called Menards on a very busy Sunday, a holiday weekend asking for a manager. Larry answered and though I could tell he was stressed he promised to find the reason for my problem. Less than an hour later Larry called me back, question answered and issue resolved. Thank you Larry!

I will never shop at menards again they do not guarantee what they sell I bought a troy built weed eater it never starts not happy with the product all all they will not take it back tried to contact there customer service it is impossible to get ahold of anyone tried contacting troy built what a joke they are 2 hours on hold never got anyone both companies are no good ill stick with Lowes and home depot at least they guarantee what they sell and have great customer service menards you suck i would rather pay a few dollars more and shop with a company that honours what they sell

We special ordered a shower door 2 months ago and still waiting. It was to arrive shortly but it just happened to to go to the wrong DC in a different state. Not our first problem with Menards. The shower itself had black lines in it and it was blamed on us. They really don't help you!! I know after spending our rebates we will NEVER patronize another Menards EVER!! You lost money from us because the next purchase was appliances!!! Oh well! I'm ready for a better experience elsewhere!

Menards met most of my expectations. That being said, they didn't seem to have all the items I would have liked, but overall, it was a good experience. The floor staff were friendly & fairly helpful.

Great place to find a lot of good products. Most of them are even cheaper and better quality than Walmart or other retailers. If you can’t find something you may have to look but the staff is very helpful and friendly. Some items are so popular that they can’t keep the shelves stocked and sometimes are completely out of stock. Not very often does that happen though. Have been to some stores where it seemed like half the store had empty shelves.

they are always talking and on the phone and trying to flirt with me. It's unsettling. Nobody even knows what they are doing. Better off going to hobby lobby. Hardware, in particular, is a JOKE
