About Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area

Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area tells the story of farm life and agribusiness. Visitors can learn about agriculture at various museums, historic sites, and farms. The heritage area has a visitor center with lots of information and hosts festivals like IA Eats, featuring great food, wine, and entertainment. Silos & Smokestacks covers 37 counties in northeast Iowa and is an Affiliated Area of the National Park Service.

    Go to visitor center in waterloo, lots of information, very helpful- lots of places to stop, go online to get alot of info also.
