Everything I was told was completely incorrect. I was told certain prices for specific products & everything I’m stuck with now costs ways more. Lack of communication & honesty. Would not come back here!!!

There are many options for service today, so choose carefully. I normally only submit good reviews to show appreciation. But in this case, I must speak up as a warning to others.
On 5-15 I lost my phone at Sam's Club Waterloo and it hadn't been turned in. I had made daily trips back from our farm searching. On 5-18, I stopped by this store for a list of incoming calls, in case someone was trying to return it. That was easy, but then the nightmare started.
Husband and I were preparing for our trip to Arizona for grandson's graduation, working out how to leave our farm animals. I had just purchased a $45 month of coverage at Verizon across the street for our travel phone, as there is no USC coverage out west.
I had visited the Independence outlet to check on a replacement for my Samsung A50; the similar A25 was out of stock.
The salesperson here at Waterloo was being helpful, so I asked what was available. With my upgrade, she offered the A15 free or A25 for $80. I needed to wait to see if my phone turned up. I told her I'd be back after our trip if it hadn't showed up. She then said they had a special on internet. I had a hotspot w/USC years ago, but it was a weak spotty signal out at the farm, so I wasn't too interested. But she assured me this new router was much improved and it would work, per her map. I had 15 days to try it for just a $10 fee. The equipment was free, no activation fee, just plug it in and attach to the window. My current service was outside equipment wired to an inside router, sturdier; I was wary after my previous hotspot and I was leaving, explained the timing wasn't good. But the price was half our current cost, so with her assurances, I accepted and signed on the screens, leaving with the box in a sack to figure out after our trip. My husband handles all our tech stuff. We are older and keep all our animals fed with our S.S., so we have to save where we can.
5-21 We went to the airport, even with all the tornado warnings. We made the hard decision for me to stay behind to protect the animals. His plane took off at 3:45, and the town of Greenfield was being destroyed at 3:50. He flew right over that tornado, and I made the long drive home, scared but safe.
He was gone 10 days, during the succession of terrible storms. After he got back, we got the first USC bill, for $182.96- !!! We were shocked. The service was $59.99/mo, double what I was told, a $30 activation fee, and equipment charge of $450 but with a deferment credit.
I called corporate billing and found out the equipment is only free if we keep it 36 months! This was never told to me. My Summary receipt showed in large print nothing about equipment cost or term required, and "Device Activation Fee $0.00." The bill did not match my deal at all. It was dated the day AFTER the 15 day trial had ended. Even though I had asked 3 times for the exact monthly price, she said it would be 29.xx plus taxes.
I went to the closest USC store, in Independence. They were nice as always, but said only a corporate store can help. We had an appt at the Coralville VA Hospital and knew of the nearby USC. After the long wait in que and working with the nice CSRs there, we were sadly sent back to Waterloo.
At USC Waterloo, they disputed all that had been told to me. No way were those phones ever $0 and $80, or the internet service like our prepaid phones with no service term required, and no one would have given free activation. But I took the receipt out of the sack and showed it. Hmmm, they gave me the corporate CS 888# for help.
I called, but even with my explanation and proof, was given no credit or RA. Referred BACK to W-loo store. The "Today's Summary" receipt shows no equipment financing, taxes or fees. (Those are your surprise on the bill you get when it's too late to canc

I used to have Verizon, then T-Mobile but they both were expensive and upgrading was a horrible experience. I decided to go to this USCellular and see what my options were as I had my own phone, but wanted a new one as well as explore plans. Not only were all the employees extremely helpful, knowledgeable & kind; they were able to give me all my options very quickly without any extra sales or stuff I didn’t need. I came in the next day and was remembered, had a phone held for me and given many options ALL of which were cheaper than both Verizon and T-Mobile. I spent less than $50 and got a new phone, and all accessories and left with ZERO questions and full confidence I made the right choice. Sabrina A. Was my sales person and she was amazing. Not once was I confused or felt pushed. She did everything to make sure I was paying what I wanted and getting what I wanted. I have her card and will recommend this exact USCellular store to anyone mentioning switching. Awesome experience.

I went this weekend. For a phone that was sold to me as a promotional. I payed everything up front. So not to be on our bill. Guess what the lie was...? Well I'm being billed for that phone. It wasn't 300 it was 800. It doesn't have color. That phone.. if I wanted a new phone it cost 400 to pay off. Huh. It wasn't free.. no.... No .. no..so surprise me that phone was even a yr old.. nice, the guy says it was better than a s21. It's sad

BUYERS BEWAREThey will assume (without even asking you) that you want to purchase $180+ worth of accessories and then include the cost in your monthly price and not explain other than saying it's a bundle that includes everythingThey do the same with Device Protection and most other add-ons like tablet lines or home internet. Just assuming you want it and only getting consent on the monthly total cost. They call it assumptive selling, I call it scamming customersThey coach their representatives to do so and it you don't, you are put on performance write upsThis business doesn't care about it's customers but only profiting off of them and they can't even do it the right way... gotta trick you into buying things.
