Your money is not safe here. Disappointed with my recent experience with Veridian Credit Union. After unauthorized transactions on my account, I've faced challenges in getting my money returned despite taking all recommended actions. I hope no one else has to go through this. I trust that businesses like @VeridianCU will step up and address such issues promptly for their loyal customers

Bought a new motorcycle and they arranged financing through Veridian. Shame on me for not looking at the reviews that clearly indicate the poor customer service that I am currently experiencing. They are really good at misdirection and wasting peoples time in my opinion. If you want poor customer service and like to waste a ton of time they are the best bank for you!

The location on Ansborough Ave is very convenient and Dylan was super helpful with switching our insurance to be local. Diane is really helpful when we need to make changes to our auto policy!

Good knowledgeable advisor who tried to correct mistakes for other advisors who didn't do their job right!

This morning, at around 9am CST (Gove or take a few mins), I spoke with Sheldon, a fraud prevention specialists at Veridian, who gave me new information stating that Veridian has requested proof of address since I live in CA and that I've declined. 'Interesting because NO ONE at Veridian has requested proof of address or I would have easily sent over the deed to my home. The issue is that Sheldon says the address dhowing is of a strip mall but he NEVER asked me to verify. It seems that there's something against Californians there. Sheldon was very crass and instead of requesting the information, he said, "I don't see why you need a credit union in Iowa if you live in California...we get a lot of fraud coming out of California...". Once I told him that I'd heard of Veridian through someone in relation to Dwolla and that I come to Iowa a for work, Sheldon said, "Well, why don't you wait until you come back to Iowa and open an account then" very condescendingly. That was why I visited a notary last week, per Veridian's recommendation. The kicker is that l have accounts in other states and countries. Sheldon's statement was lackluster and at a very elementary level it wasn't sensible. I was calling in about my membership online and that's how this started with Sheldon. Yesterday, I complained about Luther. I wonder if there's a correlation. Yesterday morning, around 9:20a.m. CST, I spoke with Loan Officer, Luther. He called his morning to let me know there was an approval for lending. Once I asked Luther if it were possible to appropriate the funding for the loan opposed to a loan and a credit card (so I don't have a high balance due to my loan being used for home improvement) and Luther was beyond condescending. His behavior was as that of that of a middle schoolers who had nothing to lose and it is beyond disconcerting that he has access to mine and so many other people Social Security numbers, identification and other very important information. My parents gifted me the home I was raised in and Luther said, "...it shows a rent payment but you say you live with your parents..." I asked him to look at the dates which clearly show that I moved late 2016, which also reflects the date or month of the last payment. I let Luther know that he was basically condescending and out of line for his comment. I also let him know that I'd like someone else to handle my account. He placed me on hold, came back and I complained more about how poorly handled. I feel I was on with a fraudster who cares nothing about the organization. He hung up on me. I'm hoping the call is pulled. He gaslights. Everything in his speech, disposition and demeanor exuded that he has nothing to lose . I hope that he doesn't view people's personal information this way. I will also reach out to Dwolla. I have no interest in being in business with this company but was considering future business prior to all of this. Additionally, i was told that they would not consider opening accounts for me, which is a blessing in disguise . I didn't have to know about the trends of what they see in California because that has nothing to do with me as an individual and it was very unprofessional of Sheldon to disclose what the experience has been from other Californians . I have much more to say but I've exhausted so much energy dealing
