Goodwill of Central Iowa is a place that offers a variety of items for shoppers, with proceeds supporting job training and employment programs for people facing barriers. Customers often find good deals, especially during sales from Thursday to Sunday, although some feel prices can be high and may not fit limited budgets. The store has a friendly staff, but checkout lines can be long, sometimes taking over 20 minutes, with occasional delays due to limited help at the register. Customers are encouraged to follow signs for donation drop-offs, remain in their vehicles while waiting, and keep a safe distance from others. Employees assist with unloading donations and provide receipts, helping to keep the community environment safe and efficient. While some shoppers find the selection hit or miss, many enjoy visiting the store and appreciate the efforts to reduce waste by keeping items out of landfills. Overall, it is a good place to shop when busy, offering helpful staff and community benefits.
I understand that proceeds go towards helping others but prices seem a bit high to me. I have a limited budget and was unable to buy anything here.
